ICE traveling up Cali this weekend.
If staying home: lock doors, close windows/blinds (at least ones facing any public area), do not leave home alone, be careful of police drones (yes even in small communities), you are not a coward for being smart.
If going out (not to protest): wear plain clothing, wear a mask/scarf/etc, stay safe. Do not travel alone if possible, there will most likely be a rise of violent actions during this time. Be careful of traffic stops and awareness checks. Try to stay off main roads and be careful of reckless/hateful drivers.
If going to protest: ICE CAN SEARCH PUBLIC TRANSPORT WITHOUT A WARRANT IN SOME PLACES. COMMUTE IF POSSIBLE, TRAFFIC STOPS MAY OCCUR IN MANY AREAS. PARK OFF MAIN ROADS, DO NOT LEAVE EXPENSIVE THINGS IN CAR AND DO NOT FORGET TO LOCK YOUR CAR.
Cover your skin (long sleeves, long pants, long socks, head covering/hat/mask, wigs, makeup, whatever) try not to be identifiable. cover tattoos, birth marks, etc. Bring water, bring medical supplies, bring a sign or multiple to pass out, snacks, umbrellas, etc. if you show skin, wear sunscreen. Use a scarf or strip of fabric/bandanas to cover face. YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT ONCE AN OFFICER HAS IDENTIFIED THEMSELVES. STAY AWARE, STAY SAFE.
Many people are saying not to go to the actual 'no kings' protests, that they are likely set ups since they work with 50501, and though I am unsure if these claims are substantiated, just remember to stay safe and aware. Do not tell anyone you're real name or give them any identifying information. WHEN LEAVING A PROTEST, NEVER GO STRAIGHT HOME. DO NOT TAKE PICTURES OR VIDEOS OF OTHERS AND DO NOT SHARE LOCATION. IF YOU DO TAKE PICTURES BLUR THE VIDEO/FACES.
LEAVE YOUR PHONE AT HOME/IN CAR, wifi, bluetooth, and data off, phone off. KEEP KIDS HOME, if you can't leave your child at home alone, then stay home with them. Any peaceful protest can turn quickly, better safe than sorry.
