A lot of idiots will immediately call this a "Korean John Wick." I kind of get it, but I'd prefer to say this just looks like a very dope action flick.

The film's called HUMINT (2026) and is directed by the incredible Ryoo Seung-Wan, the director of the fantastic City of Violence.

watched humint tonight and that whole endpiece was sooo john wick coded. the whole film being a build up to the last 30 minutes or so is completely worth it imo i love seeing how action films evolve and play off of each other and watching two cars drift around each other in the snow scratched that itch so badly. also the "finale" that is just that meme from the office. saur good.

how many times are park jeongmin's characters gonna die in a thriller movie but not before whispering something in the main character's ear with the music covering it, prompting a supporting character right before credits roll to ask the main guy "what did he say before he died?" and for the main character to respond with a quiet ominous repeating and then while everyone (me) is sad BOOM end screen. bc its happened twice so far by my count

It was a weekend of Korean movies. All three highly recommended.
