I'm curious, how different would the interactions between Humpback Mermaid and Orca Eclipse have been if he was the father of babys Orcas Sun and Moon???
That's a difficult scenario for Humpback Y/N. Of course, you want to fight him. You first lay eyes on him and You're already preparing to throw hands. You would never dare pull back from a challenge—until you spy two small orca siren children in Eclipse's arms. The only force capable of preventing you from initiating a brawl.
Of course, any siren would fight viciously to defend their young. You understand this, but where are the children's mother? Where is the rest of his pod? It's so strange and unnerving, and you feel no pride in hunting down a siren tending to his children, even if he is an orca siren.
So you lurk at the edges, observing the orca siren as if he might do something nefarious. You only need one excuse to fight the orca siren and gladly, you search for one. Perhaps he stole the children or maybe he's not a good father. You're not quite sure what to do in such a case that the children actually need a guardian to watch over them, but you don't worry about thinking that far ahead. You only mean to fight the orca siren on reasonable terms.
You patiently stalk and follow behind the orca siren, watching and waiting, and a moment arrives. The orca siren sets the two little ones down upon an ice floe and rushes off to hunt seals. You swim carefully up to the little ones. They're so small. You never realize how tiny they are until you pick one up in your hand and cradle his sweet little tail. Then the other begins wailing, crying out for a parent. You softly shush him, but a quiet splash echoes behind you.
You turn around slowly until you're face to face with the orca siren. His eyes are piercing and wild with a need to defend his tiny pod. You wonder if he might have lunged at you were it not for the baby in your hand. He orders you in a chilling voice to set down his child.
There's no glory in fighting a parent only protecting their little ones.
Slowly, gently, you set the baby back on the ice beside his brother, and then you swim away. The orca siren rushes to his children. You feel his stare digging into your flukes until you disappear from the ice floe, struggling with your own uncertainty and confusion.
But the orca siren is fascinated by the humpback siren who handled his babies so gently and didn't start thrashing him. He'll see you again. He'll make sure of it while he settles Sun and Moon back into his arms.

I like the big rizz humpback yn/reader and small orca Eclipse who cant do shit against them but still tries to rizz them, but hear me out HEAR ME OUT, Big easily flustered humpback reader with little to no rizz and small orca Eclipse with rizz thats bigger!!
I've got like no rizz, and the idea of being pinned by a smaller flirty Eclipse grabs me by the throat and shakes me around!!!!

With a harpoon in your tail and a predator upon you, the nature of your situation becomes more apparent.
Perhaps a little help from your adversary isn't the worst thing to happen to you.
