By the way, the reason why you shouldn’t touch a dog that’s working... Is primarily because it confuses the dogs.

They are trained to take orders and do specific tasks. If a human interacts with them, they try to focus on that because they’re taught to listen to humans.

If they’ve been put to guide someone somewhere, it can go as bad that the dog gets disoriented or forgets the task. That’s a danger.

If the dog is trained to track or notice something, like allergens or something to do with your health.. They might forget to take notice to this or get distracted to a point where they forget it.

It’s not just that it’s rude or a principle of “no touch” with no basis... You’re being selfish and you might legitimately endanger someone.

Dogs aren’t all just magical creatures that can keep to their tasks, and be cuddling machines at the same time. That’s not how things work.

So please, stay away from dogs that are at work... Or you might confuse or distract them, leading to your own desires literally endangering someone. Which is really shitty and selfish.

Hot take but... If you pay someone minimum wages, you should expect minimum effort, minimum loyalty, minimum politeness and minimum productivity.

It is absolutely illogical that the people who get paid the least should work the most intense and should be more dedicated than the people who get paid a lot.

Someone who throws you the crumbs from the table, don’t deserve loyalty, as they have show they don’t value you either.

... Also lastly, if you can, please unionize, and make the best efforts to unionize those around you, even people not at your workplace.

criticizing how ugly funkopops are and how they cornered the toy/merch market in the west.. is so weird to call classist. but someone really did that on twitter.

like literally... they’re not cheap, and it’s not like buying consumerist crap is at the core of survival or some shit. so that’s wild to imply? but anyway...

i feel like it’s so weird to say it’s the one way to make things accessible to the poor. like no, they’ve done the opposite. they’ve made it so that most people can only access merch that expensive AND ugly. that’s not providing shit for anyone.

that’s literally just... them pushing companies and conferences to take in their products to sell for profit.

instead of getting stuff like plushies, tshirts, or toys that dont look like it was made with a soul but then removed for packaging... we got funkopops as one of the hugest alternatives.

this needs to be criticized. companies are allowed to do anything and just ruin creativity like this. they limit our chances to have the media we like.. and that shouldn’t be defended. the system and the perpetrators need to be criticized and ultimately removed.

Positives of autism - Family knows what to get me.

ok so one huge positive thing i can say with autism... to add to the pool of positive things.

everyone always knows what to get me or gift me. and i am very likely to like anything i get from my family.

for example, my family will always buy me the same pastries or they’ll get me ice tea... and i am always in mood for those things. especially berliners, which i’m eating right now.

getting me something to drink in general is really easy... just buy me cola. any brand.

i also basically only drink 2 kinds of alcohol: cuba libre, and cider. it’s really easy to buy the right alcohol for me.. just get me captain morgan.

they also have a ton of different types of dinners to default to. enchilladas is something i could eat every day. my family knows this.

I would claim all of this to be really positive and beneficial for me and my family. They don’t waste time or even food, because they know exactly what to get me... And I will never be disappointed.

Something I hate with speaking in a group, is the fact that I need to find the right time to speak... And I also need to make it topical. Often needing to say shit like “I know we’re not talking about that anymore but-” and then say the thing.

But you know what I hate the most? It takes so long to figure out what to say, so long to get the courage to say it, and so long to figure out when to say it... And there’s no pay-off.

I will say something I’ve been thinking about for 10 minutes. Often nobody responds to what I say, dismiss it, correct it, or they come with a short responce.. So that discourages me even more from speaking.

I mean, I’m generally ok with being by myself, and a lot of people do find what I say insightful and relevant... And I can converse in groups.. But more often I just don’t feel like anything I say is worth the energy.

Not everything can or should be ‘cured’.

More often than not, disabilities are simply someone’s bodies being different from an expected norm.

Never mistake this for wrong or being broken, or even as something that is or should be changeable.

Disability is a part of humanity’s natural diversity, and that’s just a fact.

Most of the time, it’s society that’s just simply not accommodating, and in fact not something about us that needs to change.
