one of my favorite all-time bits from naddpod is from blazing babe when emily forces caldwell to decide if hungry dave likes dentistry or not to determine if his roll against tread’s dad is deception. the short moment of hesitation before going “yeah. i love teeth.” is amazing and i laughed for maybe 5 minutes upon hearing it again today

I cannot put into words how genuinely hilarious it is that Dave wants to be a dentist. Like, no one talks abt it much because there's not much to talk ABOUT (+ naddpod is smaller and then the Mavrus chronicles are a side thing I guess) but oh my GOD it is so simple and normal and soooo fucking funny sometimes I randomly remember it and grin to myself like. Haha. Hungry Dentist. Sure I GUESS that's what people do. I guess he has to adult eventually. I guess there's mundane occupations in fantasy settings. He is a fire breathing Dragonborn that flings magic 'bees to kill people but he's also gonna be a dentist.
