not exactly rpf but I have a theory that murph’s characters are always the fandom’s favourite to write smut about (barring neverafter)

On a very basic level, filtering the Dimension 20 AO3 tag to Explicit only and looking at the top 10 characters who are tagged in these fics gives the following:

For Murph: Maxwell (120) and Riz (68) = 188 fics. For Brennan: Torse (89) and Evan (54) = 63 fics. For Emily: Fig (88) and Marya (80) and Sid (54) = 222 fics. For Lou: Fabian has 86 fics. For Zac: Gorgug has 82 fics. For Siobhan: Adaine has 91 fics.

While Murph's characters' numbers are certainly respectable, and Maxwell is the most paired-off individual character, Emily's characters have him beat on this preliminary analysis.

This is making the assumption that fics rated E are rated as such for sexual content rather than high-level violence, and that a character being tagged in one means they are involved in the smut. These assumptions are both extremely broad and potentially incorrect, but I've had a really long day and I'm tired. If anyone wants me to go deeper (I have thoughts about examining the top pairings, which tell a very different story), let me know and I'll try to come up with a more robust test soon!
