okay can I gush about the bug designs in Look Outside for a second. the artists pulled inspo from more than just a couple of bugs, they CLEARLY did their homework w/ the creepy crawly designs and it SHOWS and I APPRECIATE IT!!!!!
whenever I saw a new enemy I would freak out (positive) because they're all so recognizable as like, a known organism and not just a vague amalgamation of "bug-like" features!
when this guy showed up my first thought was "holy shit, that doesn't look like a generic spider enemy... is that a harvestman??"
AND THEN GUESS WHAT! I WAS RIGHT!! HIS NAME IS HARVESTMAN!!!
and there are dozens of other invertebrate-based designs that pull from very specific creatures in a way that is immediately identifiable, even though they've been merged and melded with bits of human anatomy. Darryl and the garbage worm are two personal favorites of mine, but there are so many to choose from <3
anyway. I dont have all my thoughts together yet cause I JUST finished the game, but the creature designs are such a genuinely delightful part of the experience and I hope the devs know that the designs are wonderful and appreciated!
