TFP OC- Hunter Reyes (1/2)
Meet Hunter, Hunter Reyes. Son of Hope Reyes, and ally of Team Prime. Bio: https://www.tumblr.com/fazscare87/766640951478403072/tfp-oc-hunter-reyes-bio?source=share
(I plan on doing a slight continuation/story rendition of the RP my friend and I did, but that’s a good stopping point-) -As stated, this is just part 1, you’ll see what part 2 is when I get around to it~ Hope you guys like it and have a Faztastic night! ^^ (Fun Facts -Voice: Daryl Sabara -Hunter is half Hispanic and can speak Spanish quite fluently, though he prefers to speak English half the time. He also knows a bit of Japanese, not perfect Japanese, but still, though he’s learning it from a friend. -Hunter has near-perfect 20/20 vision, passed down from his mom, even though she wears contacts or glasses.
=Hunter doesn't only use his Laptop for personal uses and other private things, but sometimes, he also records himself to give his dad "updates", as if he's still there with him, even though Hugo's gone, Hunter chooses to do it, plus it's a small way of coping, -Hunter is the type to collect Tech-Decks, just because, plus they’re pretty fun.
-Hunter is artistic and even paints his to “look cool”, mostly painting them black, even if he kinda bites them all the time.
-(Even though in this AU, Hunter and his mom, including Fowler, are the only ones on Team Prime) Hunter would know and be friends with Jack, Miko, and Raf. Though I’d particularly say with Jack, mainly because Hope and June would be friends. As for Miko and Raf, he’d probably know through school or for the same reason he knows Jack, through Hope knowing June/their moms. As for relations, Hunter would consider all 3 of them close friends, even acting brotherly to each of them. For Jack, the two of them would be quite close, having almost similar likes and interests, particularly motorcycles- but they’d also probably be the closest friends. For Miko, she and Hunter would probably chill and probably listen to Slash Monkey, sometimes getting into shenanigans, but Hunter wouldn’t be as chaotic as Miko, in fact he’d try to keep her out of trouble, but they’d be pretty chill with each other, Hunter would also probably ask Miko to teach him some Japanese. And Raf? Hunter would be chill as well, just playing a video game or hanging out, though Hunter would be the most brotherly and protective to him, mainly because Raf’s the smallest and youngest, but not too overprotective though, but brotherly.
The Squad
(Not) Just Another day in Jasper (1/?)
Name’s Hunter, Hunter Reyes, I’m just your “average” teenage bandana-wearing dude living with my mamá, Autumn Hope Reyes. We live in the Town of Jasper, Nevada, just a boring little Town in the middle of a nowhere desert. Soooo, you just gotta find different ways to entertain yourself around here, like hang out with friends, catch a movie, play video games, things like that. But for me, well, let’s just say that sometimes, I like to be a bit more daring~! I like to feel that spark, the one that reminds you you're alive, sometimes. Though I will admit, maybe that spark has also gotten me in trouble sometimes... Nothing that'd get me locked up though, I'm not that daring! I just like to live on the edge, ya know~?
Right now I was working my ass off extra hard at my job, trying to earn some extra cash, trying to save up enough money for a new motorcycle. Yes, a NEW motorcycle. Why? Because I used to own one, I had always wanted one ever since I was little, my mom had gotten me one for my 16th birthday (thanks mamá!), and I loved it ever since. But it wasn’t until it was totaled in a hit-and-run by two douchebag drivers in their flashy purple sports cars, at least I thought that’s what they were. Anyway, doctors said it was a miracle I was alive. But when I asked my mom about getting a new motorcycle, she flat out forbade me from ever riding one again, and that was final, not wanting to lose me, despite my protests, I ultimately agreed, but to my surprise, a few months later, she had changed her mind and would even let me pick out any Motorcycle I wanted, looks like her decision wasn’t so final after all. Only, there was one little catch, I was paying for it, and the one I picked was $4,500… I knew that making that money would be long and hard, but if it meant I could get another motorcycle, I'd do it! So, yeah, you could say I have a pretty average life, or rather, I had a pretty average life. What makes me say that? Well, have I got one hell of a story.
“Thank you, sir! come again!” I said with a fake smile, one of the few “work smiles” I had mastered to appear genuine since the day I first worked at the KO Burger. The moment the customer turned their back, and I was sure my boss couldn’t see me, I’d let out a bored sigh, rubbing my eyes, “Come on, come on…” I thought to myself as I looked at the clock, counting down the minutes- no, the seconds until my shift was over. Today’s shift was already long enough, and I was just ready to clock out and go home. Who knew working at a minimum wage fast food burger joint could be such a headache, from the rude and demanding customers, a few lazy coworkers who don’t pull their weight, the constant smell of grease and oil, and not to mention how shifts tended to drag on, and on, and on, and this summer heat wasn’t exactly helping either. Well, that’d be me, because I’ve worked at this place since last year, so I had an answer to that question, but still. I would've picked somewhere else, like, ANY other job, but, there wasn’t really anywhere else that was hiring, and I never exactly quit this job, so, I was sort of stuck here. But at the very least, it’s a manageable job at best, I mean, I had a decent enough relationship with the boss, and I didn’t have to bring my own lunch, since employees like me got free meals and all… not that they were anything to write home about (unless I cooked it myself), my job was still frustrating, but at least it was something. But on the bright side, it was a payday~! So there was that.
After the clock finally hit 5:00, I got my paycheck, clocked out for the day, and walked outside into the warm summer air! It was refreshing, no more looking at the clock, no more smelling grease, and no more dealing with customers. I'd then lean against the wall of the restaurant as I took out my phone to call my mamá, she always wanted me to give her a call when I got off.
“Hi, mamá.” I said over the phone.
“Hi Hun” She said motherly “So, how was your day at work? See any cute girls at work? Or maybe that mystery biker~?” She teased, I could hear her chuckling to herself on the other end, I rolled my eyes in response, even if it got a small smile from me.
“Hah, very funny. But, ya know, it was the usual, just a long day of taking orders, serving those orders, and putting on a forced smile.”I joked “But, yeah that’s about it, how about your day?”
“Oh, nothing too special, just tidying up the house and running a few errands here and there.” she casually said casually before asking “Do you want me to come to pick you up, Hun? Of course, it’ll be a few minutes.”
“Mmmmm, nah, I’m good.” I replied quickly.
“Are you sure, Hun? I really don’t mind, I’m not doing anything.” She persisted.
“No, mamá, really, I’m good! I mean, it’s your day off, you work again tomorrow and probably the next day after that. Plus, I’m 18, I can take care of myself, you don’t need to worry.” I reassured her, though my response was met with a moment of silence, before she gave me her anseer.
“Alright, alright Hun, if you’re gonna be out then I’ll start making dinner for us, so eat something light if you’re planning on getting a snack or something, and I expect you to be back here in an hour, preferably less. Now, do I make myself clear?” She said, motherly and firmly.
“Yes!” I said to myself before speaking back with her, “Yes ma’am, thanks mamá, and trust me, I won’t even be gone that long.”
“Mmm, we’ll see about that.” she slightly teased “Just be careful out there, love you, Hun.” She said in a motherly soft tone.
“I will mamá, I will. Love you too, Byeee.” I said, and after my mom said bye, I hung up. And with that, I was in the clear.
I walked down the sidewalk, nearly a whole hour of free time, just the right amount of time for me to stretch my legs and unwind a bit after a long workday. After all, standing for 8 hours in a fast food joint in summertime isn’t exactly too pleasant, believe it or not. But I didn’t want to think about work, after today, I'd have a few days off, and I was ready to unwind a little~ Further down the road, I decided to make a quick stop at a gas station, where I bought two energy drinks and a snack to help me recharge a bit. As I waited for the cashier, my mind wandered a bit, and I looked out the window… and that’s when I saw, her, again. My eyes immediately widened and my heart nearly skipped a beat when I recognized the rider and her motorcycle, it was her again! The mystery rider! I'd tell you her name here, but, lemme save that for the next part. Anyway, she looked just as stunning the first time I saw her, and her motorcycle still looked pretty kickass. I had seen her around town a few more times after the first time I saw her. Though sometimes, she’d ride next to this vivid red muscle car with horns on its hood, but today she was riding solo. After getting my bag of groceries and paying the cashier, I immediately went outside. I felt my cheeks flushed as I sorta stared at her, she was parked at one of the gas pumps. I thought, what the hell, I should go over there and talk to her! I wouldn’t mind getting to know her, and who knows maybe she’d be into me, big maybe though, but I’d also settle for just being close friends, I was optimistic. So I took a moment to collect myself, adjusted my bandanna and clothes, fixed my hair, and made sure I didn’t smell like grease, meat, or fried foods. I didn’t wanna look like a blushing idiot, after all, I wanted to make a good first impression~ I then took a deep breath, and mustered the courage to approach her. She looked even more attractive up close, and that leather suit really accentuated her figure~ Yet, she remained motionless, in fact, she hadn’t even gotten off her bike to pump gas or anything, but that wasn’t my business.
“Heyo~” I said, trying to keep my tone confident, and even though she still didn’t turn to look at me, she spoke back!
“Hey. Can I help you?” She replied with a strong, firm voice.
“Keep it cool, keep it cool~….” I said in my head, trying to stay relaxed before I spoke again. “Heh, well, in a way, yeah. Think you can teach me a thing or two?” I shot back, feeling this spark of bravado~
“Oh yeah?” she replied.
I then spoke, going for it, “Yeah, teach me a little about you. I’ve noticed you around town a few times, and honestly? I wouldn’t mind getting to know you better, maybe even hang out sometime~ My name’s Hun—“
Just as I was about to finish saying my name, she chuckled lightly and cut me off. “Sorry, “Smooth Operator”, but I’m not your type, believe me.”
And just like that, she revved up her engine and left. That was, odd, and pretty rude if you ask me. But, at the same time, I really could’ve just said, anything else, so that was my fault too, that could’ve gone better. I kinda stood there for a moment and sighed in a bit of defeat. “Huh, damn.” I said under my breath, before shrugging it off. Ah well, at least I tried, and hey, it's no big deal. Besides, it was just another day in Jasper… At least, that’s what I thought! Because little did I know, was that my average life was about to change, forever.
As I left the gas station, continuing to go down the sidewalk, I still had plenty of time to kill before I’d go home. As I turned down the sidewalk, I swore that I heard the sound of humming, like a car engine. But the next thing I knew, that humming sound I just heard, quickly turned into a roaring engine! I turned my head just in time to see a car racing toward me! I dropped my things in a panic, barely managing to dodge it as it screeched to a halt a few feet where I was originally standing. Talk about a close call, cause damn. I turned around to pick up my things, mumbling “Heh, nice brakes, jacka-“ My words were cut short as soon as I recognized the car now that I was so close. It-… it was one of the two cars that nearly killed me! Same paint job, the same tinted windows, and it had that same logo, it was the same car… I felt my heart sink in my chest, I felt frozen in a mix of fear and anger, but mostly fear. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest, as I remembered painful memories of my near-death experience from that night… I’d snap out of my thoughts. Now my fear turned back into anger. At first, I turned to walk away. I didn’t want to give them the satisfaction of thinking they were getting to me. But, as if to push me even further, the car loudly revved up its engine, the sound startled me at first, but then I felt pissed. That’s when I turned around and walked over to the driver’s side window, ready to give them a piece of my mind! I’d proceed to knock furiously on the window. “Hey! Dude! What the hell is your problem, huh?!” But all I got was silence, they didn’t roll down their window, didn’t say anything from inside the car, nothing, which if anything irritated me even more. Seeing that this was going nowhere, I decided just to leave again, but first, I took a few photos of the car, making sure to get a good shot of that logo, and I still had no idea what it was supposed to be, even when I was up close. It was like, some kind of purple, almost arrow-shaped “face”? That had a kind of sinister look to it, probably custom-made or whatever. I had some more clear evidence at least. “Seeya, asshole~” I said smugly, flipping them off before walking away feeling pretty confident. But, a part of me was like, "I Probably shouldn't have done that." I mean, those guys tried to kill me before, but, not in broad daylight, right? Wrong. Heard the engine start up, and I knew that wasn't good. I started walking faster, didn’t even look back, I was being followed. After a bit I did turn my head slightly, and they, stopped. So I thought that maybe they weren’t gonna do anything, but that’s when I heard the engine revving behind me. Like they were saying "You better run." And I did, and I ran like hell! The car gave chase, I didn't even look back, I just kept running because my life depended on it! It felt like they wanted to make the chase last longer like they were just toying with me! I quickly rounded a corner and ducked into an alley. There was a chain link fence at the end of it, I could climb over in case that driver came back, it wouldn't be my first time having to climb up a fence. As I reached the fence, the car actually drove past the Alley I was hiding in. For a moment I thought I was safe, but I then heard the tires come to a screeching halt, saw the car back up, turned and then floored it towards me! I quickly climbed up just as the car was coming down the alley. I just barely managed to get up and over the top of the fence I quickly lept off, I’d admit, I didn’t exactly stick the landing though, the worst I got was a little winded, but I got away. I stood back up and dusted myself off, seeing the car coming to a stop just a few feet before the fence. I felt pretty safe where I was, it was a pretty high fence and a dumpster between me and them. Feeling pretty confident, I felt like saying one more thing to them couldn’t hurt before I left, right?
“Heh, well, well, well. What’re you gonna do now, tough g-?” Before I could finish my remark, right before my own eyes, in almost a second, the car shifted and rearranged itself into this, huge, 20-something foot tall humanoid robot! A Decepticon! (‘Cons for short) But in this case, it was a Vehicon! Basically Decepticon foot soldiers. Several pieces of the car clung to parts of the Con's body like his chest, arms, pelvis, and lower legs, almost like armor. He had a chrome face/head with a crimson red visor for eyes that casted an ominous glow, and that logo was now on his chest. It happened so fast that it didn’t even click with me at first until the ‘Con towered over me “-uy, Oh- Oh my God!..” my eyes widened in shock and disbelief. I slowly backed up, trying to process everything, my mind was just racing, but I didn’t have much time before the ‘Con effortlessly plowed through the fence, sending dust and some debris everywhere! The dumpster was also flung aside with a loud crash as it hit the ground, the sound of it all was deafening. I managed to scramble out of the way, stumbling back as everything was sent flying around me, my heart was pounding in my chest as I stared up at the ‘Con in terror, who stared back at me before he started walking towards me, I quickly got back on my feet as it approached. As the ‘Con closed in, I frantically looked for an escape route, the only options being in front of me or out of the same alleyway to my left. But when I tried to make a mad run for it, all the ‘Con had to do was slightly step in the direction I was running to cut me off, blocking me from both routes as he kept walking closer! I was in a dilemma, to say the least! There was a Vehicon right in front of me that was getting closer, I couldn't get past him, and soon I was gonna be against the brick wall behind me… and he seemed to be taking his sweet ass time like he was getting a kick out of watching me panic. Not having many options, in a sheer act of desperation I picked up a rock from the ground in an attempt to defend myself “St- Stay Back! I’m warning you!” I shouted… yes, I really tried to intimidate the damn thing… but in my defense, it wasn’t like I had a lot of options! But, sure enough, he didn’t stop coming, so I threw the rock as hard as I could! And as expected, all it did was make a loud clang as it hit. But, to be fair, it did stop the ‘Con, momentarily, but only so he could watch the rock fall to the ground, then look back at me as if to silently say “Was that your best shot?” Before he stepped on the rock, crushing it into dust as he slowly came closer. I felt a hoarse lump in my throat as I backed up, I shouted for help, hoping someone would hear me, even if there wasn’t anything they could do to help... My heart sank when I felt my back against the wall, I had nowhere left to go. The ‘Con stopped just a couple of feet in front of me and began to reach his, three-digit hand toward me. I only shielded myself and shut my eyes, bracing myself to be grabbed…
But before the ‘Con could grab me, I heard another vehicle approaching. I feared the worst as I immediately assumed it was the other Vehicon coming, but then I realized it was a motorcycle engine I heard, and the ‘Con hadn’t grabbed me yet. When I opened my eyes, the ‘Con was looking at the end of the alley, it was that biker chick again! She was coming to save me! I mean, I sure as hell wasn’t complaining, I was grateful even! but I had no idea what she planned to do about the big-ass robot! Just then, I watched as the ‘Con transformed his hand into a blaster and started firing lasers at her! But that didn’t seem to slow her down in the slightest, she effortlessly avoided the laser blasts, weaving through them with ease. When she was close enough, the ‘Con stopped firing, raised his fist, and tried to crush her, only for her to quickly swerve around the ‘Con instead, just as he brought his fist down, smashing into the ground. It was like something out of an action movie! She was even more badass than I thought, and I couldn’t take my eyes off her~ But, just as she got closer, she just, vanished! And that wasn’t all, her bike was still somehow driving itself as it steered and came to a stop in front of me, and just before I could process anything. “Hey! You! Get on! NOW!” It spoke! I hesitated for just a split second, but I quickly complied with the motorcycle’s demand, since she was a hell of a lot better than dealing with the ‘Con! I hopped on her seat and held on tightly to her handles, then she tore off at rapid speeds before he could try and grab me again. I wasn’t driving though, it was all her! When I looked back the ‘Con changed back into a car and sped after us.
As the motorcycle sped down the Alley, all I could really think was “What the Hell is going on?!” But at the same time, at least the talking motorcycle saved just saved me!
“Th- Thanks!” I quickly shouted out to the motorcycle, and that’s when the other Vehicon swerved down the alleyway, heading right toward us!
“Don’t thank me just yet, we still need to get out of the chase alive! Hold on!” She said as she managed to maneuver around the charging ‘Con and sped out of the alleyway, so at least she knew what she was doing, but now both of those ‘Cons were after us. We sped down the road as the ‘Cons followed behind us, it was intense! To make matters worse, they suddenly started firing lasers at us from their hoods! I ducked my head down as the lasers were fired at us, the shots would mostly fly right past us or they'd hit the ground close to us. The motorcycle was still able to outmaneuver the lasers and would try to lose them both.
“Wh- who are you?! What's going on?!” I shouted out, hoping for some sort of answer, although that wasn't really the ideal moment to ask.
“Questions can come later, but for now, keep your head down!” She said as she wide open throttled it.
The chase continued until the motorcycle suddenly made a sharp turn off the road and headed for the desert, I had no idea what she had planned, but I’d roll with it. Soon enough, there wasn't much around us but bare desert and rocks. The motorcycle made quite the distance, but those two ‘Cons would catch up soon. But once she was far enough, the motorcycle would come to a halt.
“Alright, chatterbox, this is your stop. Get yourself hidden somewhere safe, and keep your head down, understand?” she said to me in a stern tone.
“Go- Got it!” I said as I quickly hopped off and ran towards a big rock to hide behind. Though I couldn’t help but watch, I decided to peek out from over the rock, I was just close enough to see and hear everything.
I just saw the Motorcycle sitting in the middle of the road, waiting for the two ‘Cons, and sure enough, they showed up, transforming back into their bot-forms, their blaster hands ready. "How is she possibly gonna take those two things on?!” I thought to myself. Suddenly, the motorcycle started to morph and shift around until she was a feminine 15-foot-tall Bot, an Autobot, to be exact! She had shining blue armor made from the motorcycle, complemented by accents of black on her thighs, hands, feet, and upper arms with a dark gray midriff, subtle touches of pink here, and a silver chrome face with blue eyes and pink lips. And I had to admit, I couldn’t take my eyes off of her~—, not, because she was attractive or anything, it was just the coolest thing ever!
I’d watch intently as the two ‘Cons would aim their blasters at the blue bot, but she didn't seem deterred in the slightest, even when it was two against one... “This ends here, ‘Cons.” She growled before charging at them with pure determination, and they started firing, but she just kept going, didn't even flinch! Then she did this crazy jump in the air and kicked the first ‘Con down to the ground! The other one tried to swing at her, but she was too fast, she dodged it, and knocked that one down too. Freaking insane! She was agile and graceful, even though she was 15 feet tall and made of metal! I don't understand it but man, it was freaking awesome to watch! It was all metal clashing, sparks flying, and lasers! It was giant robots battling it out in real life! It was like watching a movie, or a cartoon, only better! The blue bot would then lay a whole lot of punches into the one ‘Con still standing. But through each of the blue bot’s punches, I heard her say, "This-is-for-Cliff!" in a furious voice, for a brief moment, it made a part of me wonder who this Cliff was, they must be somebody important if she was THAT upset about it. However, the ‘Con looked at the blue bot, mostly unfazed by her attacks, and the other ‘Con had recovered from the first attack. She stepped back into a guarded stance, and they both started firing at her again. She did all these crazy flips and dodged their blasts before going right back at them, a total badass! “Whooo! Hell yeah! Go get 'em!” I shouted, cheering her on. What could I say? My excitement might have gotten the best of me. That was a big mistake though, cause I really should’ve remembered that not only was I in a very dangerous, spot close to the action, but everyone could still hear me. And sure enough, one of the ‘Cons noticed me, and started to run towards me, I was about to run, I probably wasn’t gonna get away, but the blue bot reacted almost immediately, WHAM! The blue bot delivered a firm punch to the ‘Con's back, then she she punched him right in the visor.
“Thanks!” I said with relief, though the blue bot fired a scowl in my direction, probably not too happy that I nearly got myself killed.
“I thought I told you to keep your head down!” she shouted.
Just before I could apologize, with her attention split, the other ‘Con was able to shoot her in the leg. She winced in pain as she fell to her knees, my eyes widening in shock as it happened. But just before the Con could take another shot, BEEP BEEP! When I looked in the direction of the honking, there was a yellow and black, mostly yellow, Urbana-500 speeding down the road towards the Con, which took his attention off the blue bot and try to fire at the speeding car. I thought, “Either that driver really wanted to be a hero, or maybe—” My answer would be quickly answered as the Urbana, still speeding, transformed into yet another robot, he had his cart parts cling to him like armor, kinda like the ‘Cons, though he also had doors that looked like little wings, not that he can fly, he also looked about the same size as the ‘Con. I’d watch as the yellow Bot launched himself at the Con, punching him square in the face! Sending the Con flying back and scraping across the ground! And that yellow and black bot? His name’s Bumblebee, or Bee. It’s kinda funny though, the yellow and black paint-job and the “door wings”, kinda fitting, isn’t it?
“Whoa”, I said in awe.
The blue bot then stood back up, having recovered from her shot, “Whew, about time.” I heard her quip, “Stay down and quiet this time.” She said to me as she ran back to help ‘Bee.
I’d watch as the two Bots took on the two ‘Cons, a much more even fight now. But even with Bee in the mix, they still had a bit of trouble taking on the two ‘Cons, those things were tough as hell. However, the battle wouldn’t last much longer, as the two Cons quickly transformed back into their vehicle forms and drove off, which was a relief for all of us.
I came out from behind my hiding spot, taking a bit of a breather, I was glad that was over. I had to admit, that was the coolest thing in my life, hands down! Though most people would say that was dangerous, they’d be right, but still! When Bee approached the blue bot, when he spoke, well, he didn’t exactly speak, verbally I mean. Instead, he just, beeped and buzzed, I just assume that’s how he talks.
The blue bot just casually responded, “I’m fine, Bee… it’s just a little scratch. Thanks for the assist, but I’m fine…”
So I guess he must’ve asked if she was ok, and at least I knew one of their names. But I had a LOT of questions, like, what were they? Are there more of them? What did those ‘Cons want with me? Who— or, what made them? Because there was no way they were man-made, and what was the blue bot’s name? Granted, that one wasn’t as important as the other’s, I was just curious. But that wasn’t even half the questions I had though. It didn’t take long for Bee to notice me, he beeped and buzzed to the blue bot.
“Ah, the human? They're just a little hitchhiker that got caught up in the crossfire... Look, I'll meet you back at base, but first, I need to make a quick drop-off by taking this person back to civilization. Alright?” She said back to the Yellow bot.
A base? Well, that’s just one more thing for me to wonder about. Bee nodded in agreement, then looked at me again, though time giving a wave (I waved back) before transforming back into an Urbana 500 and driving off. The blue bot let out a sigh as she turned around and changed back into a motorcycle, telling me to hop on. So, I got on her, gripped her handles, and she started to drive. Now that we weren't being chased and were just riding, I had to say, she felt pretty satisfying to ride, she had a nice seat, great balance, a lovely paint job, and not to mention her stylish design. Riding her kinda reminded me of when I used to ride my motorcycle, great times~
“Hey, like I tried saying earlier, thanks for saving my life.” I said, breaking the silence.
“Eh, don’t mention it.” She said somewhat dryly.
“Heh, right. And uh, sorry about, getting you shot and all, I was just, rootin’ for ya.”
She let out a small chuckle before she spoke, “Ah, don’t worry, not the first time I’ve had lasers fired at me, I’ve been through worse.” She said in a slightly teasing tone.
“Oh, heh, cool.” I responded back. “Sooooo, if you don’t mind me asking, what’s your name?”
The motorcycle would only let out a sigh. “Look, to tell you the truth. You shouldn’t even know I exist, let alone my name! What were you even doing to get yourself in trouble with those two ‘Cons?” She pressed in a more serious tone.
“Huh, right. But uh, as for the ‘Con thing, I don’t know what I did. But here's the thing, that was the second time I ran into those things! The exact same ones! They nearly killed me a few months ago!” I said to her.
“Wait, a second time? You’re telling me you’ve had a run-in with them before?” She asked, her tone was still serious, but there with a hint of concern.
“Yeah, pretty much.” I responded.
“Hmm, well, whatever the case, you’re lucky to be alive…” She said in a softer tone. Then she offered to drop me off somewhere safe. I figured it’d be best for me to get back, after the day I had and all. And since she was offering. I gladly took that offer, and not too long later, we’d be in my neighborhood, she got me back home in a solid time too. “Right here,” I said as she stopped right in front of my house. I climbed off her as she activated her holographic rider, which looked, very convincing, might I add. I looked on my phone just to see how much time had passed since the whole ordeal, turns out I had about left 20 minutes to spare. “Sweet.” I said to myself as I turned around to the motorcycle. “Hey, again, thanks for everything.” I said as I gave her a light smile.
“Heh, sure thing, it was the least I could do.” She said in a somewhat softer tone, before it shifted... “Well, I guess we’re done here, but one more thing.” She said before she slowly pulled forward and closer to me, and she still was, forcing me to back up. “You better keep your mouth shut about what you just saw today. Because if you tell anyone about me, or your close encounter, I will hunt. You. Down. Got it?” She said as she backed me up against the garage door. Even if I couldn’t see her face, I could tell she was giving me a serious glare. I felt intimidated, to say the least, though that was probably the point.
“Ye- yeah. I got it.” I said with a nod, though honestly, who would believe me anyway?
“Good, now, I don’t exist, and you didn’t see anything out of the ordinary, alright?” She said, still stern but, not as intimidating.
“You don’t exist, and I didn’t see anything weird today. Got it” I said, giving her a thumbs up, and with that, she backed up, but she didn’t say a word. “… Soooo, you sure I still can’t know your name?” I asked one last time.
“Stay safe.” She said in a firm yet soft tone before she drove off to God knew where.
Man, what a hell of a day. I mean, it just started as a regular boring workday, next, the mystery biker chick who I, admittedly had a crush on? turns out to be a robot, the same goes for the two cars that nearly killed me a few months ago, then I’m in the middle of a robot fight, and there were vehicles that disqu– no wait, robots that disguise themselves as vehicles! I probably could’ve died multiple times, but at the same time, that was awesome! And I was probably the only person who knew too! Plus, I got to meet that blue bot too, total badass~! I wouldn’t mind seeing her again~ Preferably, not in a life-threatening situation like today, or being hunted down by her, I’d just, really like to see her again, get to know her a bit more or something. Still wish I got her name though, but ah well. Who knows, maybe by some miracle I’d see her again.
I dusted myself off one last time just to be sure and composed myself before entering. My mom said I came just in time for dinner, though to be honest after everything that happened, I wasn’t all that hungry, too much excitement. Over dinner, my mom would just chat, like we usually do, though when she asked me what I did before I came home, I, didn’t really think of what to tell her, but, I “improvised” a little~ or just lied. Hey, I wasn’t supposed to tell her, right? So I said “Ahh, nothin’ much, just got a drink and a small snack, then I just walked around Town, before I got a ride home, ya know? Just takin’ it easy after a long work day~” I said in a confident tone, and luckily, that little lie worked, she didn’t even suspect a thing. After dinner, things were pretty straightforward, I helped her clean the table, load the dishwasher, we talked a bit, and I washed my bandana before I went upstairs to my room for the rest of the night. Normally I’m more of a night owl, but I guess a long workday mixed with being chased by living cars/robots would probably take a lot out of anyone. But before I went to bed, I video-messaged my dad first. It’s just something I always do, at least once or a few times a week. He, doesn’t reply back or anything, but I know he gets my messages, trust me, plus he always liked hearing about my day. And it’s funny, even if he doesn’t say a word, I swear I can, sometimes still hear his voice. “Ey papá. I know it’s a “little” late, but I just wanted to call and tell you buenas noches. I had one heck of a day today. I even got to speak to that biker chick I saw a few a while ago, and let’s just say, she was just full of surprises~” I teased. Though on a side note, he would have loved seeing those bots in action, he loved cars and was a mechanic, I can only imagine the look on his face if he saw what I saw today, minus all the danger of course. “Wish you were here, papá.” I gestured “I love you”, it was, just a little something he taught me how to do when I was younger, then I ended the recording there and closed my laptop. After I took off my bandana and set it aside for the night, I lazily kicked off my slippers, collapsed onto the bed, and got under the covers. I let out a tired sigh of relief as I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.
Also, based on Darkness Rising 1-5.

TFP OC- Hunter Reyes bio
Hunter is just your average local teenage bad boy and resident biker of Jasper, Nevada, born and raised, living with his mom, Autumn Hope Reyes. As stated, Hunter likes to live his life as a bad boy, but at the same time, he never acts out, or acts too rebellious to the point of getting in troub- well, serious trouble at least. In general, Hunter can be described as independent, sarcastic, and stubborn, some of these came from his mom. He can also be a bit immature, loudmouthed, rebellious, and maybe a little reckless, however, he’s still laid-back, easygoing, and confident, even having a soft side, despite his flaws, Hunter is a pretty good guy at heart. Hunter also wears a purple bandana, practically everywhere and every day, either around his neck or head, he’ll be found wearing it. However, when asked why he wears it so much, unless you’re close to him, he never directly answers why he does, he always changes the story, does it fit his style? Is it for sentimental value? Or to hide a scar of some sort? Whatever the reason, he wears it and he wears it proudly. So in a way, Hunter lives a pretty average life, to say the least, though he wishes there was a bit more to it, like a bit more action or something, more excitement, and, perhaps a special someone- but he was pretty satisfied with life for the most part, can’t complain. But what Hunter didn’t know was that his average life was about to change…
Hunter was born on February 7th, 1992, in Jasper, Nevada, to Autumn Hope Reyes, and the late Archer Hugo Reyes. When Hunter was little he was a lot more energetic, innocent, super-excitable, bright, and optimistic. Hunter was just a pretty average kid back then, doing average kid things, hanging out with his friends, watching TV, playing video games, and all sorts of things like that. Hunter also had an interest in motorcycles, he thought they looked cool and they went fast, to him, they were just a bigger, faster, and really cool version of a bike, and he wanted one of his very own when he was older. But the one thing he loved the most was spending time with his parents. Hunter looked up to both of them for different reasons, and was pretty close to his parents, loving them both equally. The 3 of them were pretty close as a family after all, they did everything together, played games, bonded, and watched movies as a family. They also made quite the family memories, from birthdays, to vacations, to holidays, really anything, and they have the tapes, photos, and scrapbooks that’ll prove that.
However, in 2004, things would unfortunately take a tragic turn. It all started when Hugo had gotten sick, despite being perfectly healthy prior to it, though at first it seemed like it was just something like a cold, however, that didn’t turn out to be the case, as Hugo’s symptoms would get so severe, he’d have to be hospitalized, turns out it wasn’t a cold, it was something more severe, the doctors hoped that with the right medication and treatment, Hugo would be able to slowly and steadily recover, Hope was hopeful that that would be the case for her husband, and Hunter felt the same, he thought his dad would be able to pull through, he felt that nothing bad could ever happen to his dad. So for a while. Hunter and his would frequently visit him in the hospital, staying for hours a day. Hunter and his father would still manage to bond with each other, they’d talk and do little things together, Hunter would give his father updates, telling him every little thing that happened outside of the hospital, even if he wasn’t in good shape, Hunter could tell that seeing him and his mom lightened up his mood. This would continue on for a few weeks, and things seemed alright, though, sadly, Hugo’s symptoms had only worsened over time. During some of Hugo’s final days, Hunter and his mom would visit him to keep him comforted, Hunter didn’t want to believe that his dad was dying, but he was. Hunter would try to hold back tears when he saw him, not wanting to let his dad see him vulnerable, but his dad told him that it was alright to cry, and there was no need to hold back any tears or be ashamed of it. Hunter would come by his dad’s side one last time, allowing himself to cry, Hugo had one last thing to say to Hunter, and they stuck with him ever since, “Hunter, please, take care of yourself, and your mamá, love her the way she’s loved us both over the years. She's a strong woman, but still, she needs you, you need each other. I know it will be hard for both of you, but you’ll both be alright without me. And hey, be strong, be free, be you, and live, live your life, Hijo.”. Hunter agreed to both, as the 2 exchanged 1 last “Te amo (“I love you”)” to each other, then it wasn’t too long after that he succumbed to his disease, leaving Hunter and his mom devastated.
The loss took quite a toll on both Hunter and his mom, to say the least, though it hit Hunter the most. Hunter emotionally shut down for a while, going from bright, even energetic, excitable, and optimistic, to more quiet, sullen, withdrawn, and (mentally) exhausted, understandably depressed. The pain was felt by his mom too, but together they found comfort in one another, listened to each other, and grieved together. Hunter was understanding towards his mom, who wasn’t only grieving herself but also adapting to her new role as a single parent, as well as trying to comfort her son to the best of her ability, so he never really gave her a hard time during it all. Over time, his mom, his friends, as well as his bandana, steadily helped him through his grief, though as stated, they were there for each other, the same could be said for his friends, being there for him, listening, and offering comfort whenever they could, as for his bandana, in a way, it’d offer him some comfort through his loss whenever he wore it, it helped him cope, and though it took a while, almost a full year to be exact, and all of those things helped Hunter get through his rough and dark times.
After some time had passed, things were going well for Hunter and his mom, things were starting to look up, Hunter’s heartbreak had eased, and even learning to accept the loss of his dad. To a certain extent, he felt better, much better, the same could be said for his mom too. Although, while Hunter thought he had moved on, at the same time, he hadn’t fully moved on or healed. Deep down, he'd still find himself lingering on old memories of his father and the past, leaving a bittersweet feeling that would sometimes get him emotional, longing for his presence again even though he was gone, unable to shake the sense of loss and grief that still burdened his heart, even if it had eased up compared to how it was at first. He was somewhat conflicted with himself, he understood that coping with loss wasn't an easy thing, yet he expected his grief to gradually fade away, or better yet go away, especially seeing how things had just gotten better. He didn’t want his mom to worry too much about him, he remembered how much she couldn’t bear seeing him depressed, even if she was depressed too at the time, he couldn’t bear seeing his mom sad, ever, not wanting to add any more stress to her life, not to mention, it was part of his dad’s dying wish. This also applied to his friends, not wanting them to worry too much about him. In short, Hunter didn’t want to burden anyone with his scars. He knew his mom and his friends would be very understanding. Still, he didn’t want to talk about it anymore, even if that meant keeping almost everything about him truly felt away from his mom and friends. Still, Hunter believed that as long as he wasn’t hurting anyone, or, himself, then maybe it wasn’t so bad, and maybe eventually his grief would go away. He thought he had already opened up enough, and now that things were better, he wanted to move on.
Moving forward, Hunter was going on with his life, taking things a bit easier, even if he wasn’t really like his younger self anymore, he was pretty content, still living his life. Hunter would also bond and grow close to his mom, though she had grown more protective of him, to the point of being overprotective, at least to Hunter he thought she was overprotective, though she wasn’t being that overprotective, and he understood why she was though, but still, it wasn’t like he couldn’t take care of himself, but he still loved his mom. Hunter had also slowly taken interest in a bad boy lifestyle, he liked the care-free and laid-back attitude, and the edge it gave, plus, he liked the badass nature too, he just admired the overall vibe it had, and figured it couldn’t hurt, though he’d take it slow, since he knew his mom probably wouldn’t be too happy about his new lifestyle choice, didn’t want her catching on right away... So at first, he’d start wearing darker clothes, particularly black or gray, occasionally a little color though, and all while wearing his bandana. He’d start listening to different types of music. Then he’d start expressing his opinions a bit more strongly and be more outspoken about things, but still respectable at the same time. Though it didn’t take long for his mom to catch on, she wasn’t completely oblivious, she knew her son when she questioned him about it and asked why he was acting differently. Hunter was hesitant to fully tell her at first, but he told her that he admired the bad boy lifestyle, but he assured her that he just liked the style, and he’d try not to let it all go to his head. Although she was initially concerned that, she “agreed” to it, there’d be a few ground rules of course, but she said she’d tolerate/allow it as long as he followed as he didn’t take it too far and remained a “good” bad boy, and Hunter agreed, he couldn’t believe she said yes! Not that she’s that strict type of a parent who says “no” all the time, but he just didn’t think she’d allow it. Hunter slowly immersed himself more and more into his new lifestyle, he'd try experimenting with a few boundaries and set rules here and there, just to see how much he could get away with, or rather see what his mom would and wouldn’t be ok with. Nothing serious mind you, he was still kinda young (14 to be exact-), some things his mom would actually be fine with, some she wouldn’t be fine with, others would earn him a stern lecture, and then other things he tried would either get him grounded or get him the dreaded chancla treatment, though sometimes he’d try whatever got him in trouble, he’s not really a quitter, and he at least had to try once or twice. After a while, Hunter grew even more comfortable with his new lifestyle and had even managed to find a perfect balance of his new style while not going overboard. Hunter would also grow more confident, independent, and mostly carefree, his friends seemed to like his new style, he’d get noticed more both at and outside of school, and his mom seemed more cool with his new style. However, deep down he’d still feel grief, though he tried to hide it, sometimes his friends and mom, mainly his mom, would be onto him bottling up his grief and feelings, even using this new whole bad boy thing as a sort of mask, though, he didn’t think he was… though he would be somewhat open about what bothered him sometimes, he’d hardly really allow himself to be vulnerable and tell them the whole thing. But at the same time, Hunter found his new style to be helpful in taking his mind off the grief he felt, he had a handful of ways of coping, some he kept to himself, and this one felt like one of the more effective ways. Hunter felt that in a way, he had found himself, that maybe this new lifestyle was meant for him after all.
Hunter had also rediscovered his passion for motorcycles, though it never really left his interests to begin with, after all, he was getting older, one of his childhood best friends was also into motorcycles, plus he thought it’d be great to go along with his new style. Though he wasn’t sure his mom would consider one nowadays, considering how protective she is and all, but whenever he asked about getting one, it’d be an “I’ll think about it.” While it could just be a motherly way of saying no, Hunter would keep his fingers crossed, just in case.
In 2008, it would be Hunter’s 16th birthday, it’d be at his house in the backyard, it was pretty spacious, so once his friends got there, everyone was ready to party and have a blast. Hunter always thought his parents, now his mom, threw him the best parties, and got the best gifts, like his first bike, toys, video games, a guitar, and a laptop, you can say he’s a “tad” spoiled, but grateful, and he was just as excited for this birthday too, all while wondering what his mom could’ve gotten him that year. As the party went on, after having some fun, having some pizza and cake, and handing out some gifts, that’s when his mom said she had a surprise waiting for Hunter out front, as he was walking to the front of the house his mind was racing, could it be? Could he finally be getting a motorcycle like he’s always wanted?! When he got there, it was-!… nothing, nothing at all, but, that’s when the garage door started to open, and when he saw it, he felt his heart skip a beat, he couldn’t believe what he saw, it was a sleek jet black cruiser with red and orange/yellow flames, as well as some gear like a helmet, jacket, vest, and a few other things. Hunter slowly approached the motorcycle, it looked even better up close, he could take in every little detail of it, he carefully swung his leg over the bike and took hold of the handlebars, and with a deep breath, he revved it up, and hearing the engine come to life, it was music to his ears, the whole thing even made him tear up a little. It was even better than Hunter could’ve imagined, his mom really outdid herself, it was the perfect gift. And taking his new ride out for a spin for the first time, it was truly exhilarating, Hunter loved the thrill, the sound of his motorcycle, the feeling of the wind blowing past him, and the open road, it was a rush! It made him feel like he was alive, and in a way, he felt free. He even remembered taking his mom for a ride on it for the first time, according to her he’d go too fast sometimes, but he didn’t think did, though her, and 1 or 2 speeding tickets on separate occasions might say otherwise. However, after a while, Hunter would sometimes be asked by his mom to drive her to and from work, run errands, or ride with him. She had even gotten herself a helmet and gear, so he could tell she’d gotten used to riding with him, just one more thing they could kinda bond over. It was safe to say that Hunter couldn’t be happier with his motorcycle, and like his bandana, he’d cherish it as long as he lived.
In early 2010, now 18 years old, Hunter was still himself, still wearing his bandana, still riding his motorcycle, and still sticking to his (“good”) bad-boy lifestyle. Nothing much had changed, however, it was also the year that Hunter’s life was about to change. Hunter was just finishing a long shift at a fast food burger joint he worked at, having gotten the job when he was 17, it was tolerable at best, at worst shifts tend to drag and he had to deal with douche-y customers, but it paid kinda well, anyway, when it was finally time to clock out, he couldn’t be more relieved, after all, the cool breeze outside certainly beat the smell of kitchen easily. Once he was out, Hunter called his mom just to let her know he was off work. When he was asked if he was going straight home, at first, he was, but then he decided he’d ride around first before coming home, after all, it was pretty nice out that day. His mom wasn’t sure though, but he reassured her that he’d be careful and he’d be back home before dark, after that, she allowed it. So with that, Hunter put on his helmet and gear, got on his bike, and hit the road, riding around Town for a bit, before he decided he'd take a rural road, just for a “scenic” and long route, since it’d loop back around to town, then he could make his way back home. while he was on the road, halfway through his ride, there were these 2 sports cars that came up behind him. They had a very dark purple paint, and they also had black tinted windows. And he had to admit, they looked pretty nice and stylish, they also had this emblem on the front, he couldn’t make out what it was supposed to be though, he had seen those types of sports cars in town sometimes, but it certainly wasn’t a car brand he’d ever seen before, maybe it was something custom made, but he wasn’t sure. They drove side by side, and they just sorta followed behind him, when he saw them, he thought nothing of them, he just figured that they wanted to go around him, but no, they just trailed behind him, even with all the room on the road. It was a bit weird after a while, he even slightly slowed down and tried signaling them that they could pass him, but still, they stayed at the exact speed behind him. That’s when Hunter decided he’d speed up a little, having gotten a bit uncomfortable with how they weren’t really doing anything, so after he distanced himself from the 2 cars and looked back into his mirror, he’d see they were still side by side going the same speed, surely this had to be some kind of “joke” or they felt like tailgating him for some reason, why else did they keep doing that for this long? he thought to himself. Suddenly with no warning whatsoever, one of the cars just sped up, and rammed Hunter from behind, busting his rear light, it scared the hell out of him, despite being caught off guard, he managed to keep his balance, but there was no way that wasn’t an accident. So Hunter went as fast as he could, ignoring all speeding laws, for all he knew, those 2 wanted him dead! As a result, the 2 cars would chase after him, the one that hit him keeping up with him the most, he was hoping he could get back to town or get far enough away and they’d give up, but that was short-lived… Hunter managed to evade them for a while before the first car went full speed, ramming off his motorcycle, he was sent flying a couple of feet in the air, at that moment, he was completely silent and still, frozen in fear, everything felt like it was slow. Then when he hit the ground, everything came back to him, he was tumbling, rolling, and skidding for a bit down the road, and his bike did the same, sliding much further than he did. (word limit)
When he came to a stop, he was unconscious, the first car that hit him sped past him, while the other car stopped a good distance away from Hunter, it started to burn out, staying in place as if waiting for him to wake up. When he came to, everything was spinning, he struggled to gain his bearings, his head throbbed from the impact, his ears were ringing, his vision was slightly blurry, his body felt sore, and he could taste blood in his mouth. The impact knocked a lot out of him, he was pretty winded and somewhat shaking. It was a miracle he was still alive, but it hurt to move. Just when he was catching his breath, and his vision cleared up, as well as most of his hearing clearing up, he saw the 2nd car speeding right towards him, they looked fully intent on running him over, “This is it, this is how I die...” He thought to himself, he quickly braced himself, his life flashing before his eyes, however, just when the car was a couple of feet away from hitting Hunter, it swerved around and past him, after it passed him, Hunter opened his eyes and turned around, just to watch as the second car ran over his motorcycle before speeding off behind the first one, if his motorcycle wasn’t totaled at first, it was now… “CRASH AND BURN IN HELL, CABRONES!…” Hunter shouted out, flipping off the cars even as they drove off, though he was thankful they were gone. He’d lie on his back for a few minutes, he was still winded, and everything hurt to move, but oddly not too much. He didn’t move from where he was at first, he didn’t know if he’d broken anything. Despite being totaled, the only thing that seemed to still be somewhat working was the headlight, but it just seemed to flicker on and off, but other than that, it was completely wrecked. Despite still being in pain, Hunter managed to move himself to the side of the road, propping himself against a tree. He tried pulling his phone out of his pocket to call 911, but, pulling it out, it was broken and useless, so it seemed like he was gonna have to hope that someone would come down the road and see him, and although it was a few minutes of waiting, eventually, someone came. Hunter couldn't be more relieved as the car slowed down and pulled over to the side of the road in front of him, coming to a stop. The driver quickly got out of their car and rushed over to Hunter, he actually recognized the driver, her name being June, not only was she one of his mom’s friends, but he was also best friends with her son, and even though Hunter was wearing his helmet, June immediately recognized him by his bandana, and as luck would also have it, she also happened to be a nurse, so Hunter knew he was in good hands. June immediately looked over Hunter for any signs of serious injuries, she could tell he was pretty battered up, though she did her best to keep him calm and comforted.
When she asked him what happened, all Hunter told her was that he was in a hit-and-run with 2 cars, hearing this, June would call for an ambulance, telling him they’d be there as soon as possible, then she would stay close to his side to keep a close eye on him and to keep him company, and after making sure Hunter was situated, she also called his mom, just to let her know what happened, although he was a bit nervous about how his mom would react, given how this was something she always feared happening, him getting in an accident or something, but he understood it was probably for the best to let her know, plus, it might make her feel somewhat better to know that he was ok. As June was on the phone, Hunter’s body slowly started to ache worse than before, he felt lightheaded, he started hyperventilating, his heart started to beat faster, and his body shook uncontrollably, he could even feel himself panicking, the adrenaline, the only thing that was keeping him conscious was starting to wear off. Hunter even weakly tried to get June’s attention, which she immediately noticed, she knelt to his level and tried doing the best she could to help and support him, though her voice was distant and muffled in his ears. Hunter tried to keep himself from passing out, but his body said otherwise, and after a few more moments of trying to stay awake, he fully lost consciousness. After that, things were pretty fuzzy. He was still unconscious, but he remembered, snippets of things, though they were muffled and still somewhat blurry, one instance, he remembered seeing and somewhat hearing the paramedics rushing to him before he blacked out, then he partially remembered being in the back of the ambulance as they were driving before blacking out again, and last thing he remembered was being rushed through the halls at the Hospital, and, he swore he heard his mom screaming out his name, and then, he blacked out completely.
Later, hours had passed, and Hunter would slowly regain consciousness, he opened his eyes, though his vision was still kinda blurry at first, but after a few blinks, his vision was back to normal, but now everything was sort of bright at first. At first, Hunter didn’t exactly know where he was, though he’d hear the sound of monitors beeping, distant chatter, phones ringing, and other things, and after his eyes adjusted to the lights, he’d get a bearing of his surroundings and realized he was in a hospital room, and despite everything he had gone through, he felt a bit at ease now. Hunter’s body felt slightly sore and numb, but at least it wasn’t anywhere near as bad as it was that, he also tasted, or rather, felt something in his mouth, it was gauze for the bleeding, he also had some bandages wrapped around certain parts of his body, as well as some stitches too. Hunter then noticed his mom talking with June, they hadn’t seen that he was awake yet, but he could tell just by looking at his mom that she had been through it, she looked exhausted, and he could tell she had been crying too…, so, Hunter would let out a (muffled) “Hey, mamá.”, hearing his voice immediately caught her attention, and she couldn’t be anymore happier and relieved, at first she wanted to hug him, though June had to stop her, probably because he hadn’t fully healed and he just woke up, so she’d settle on lightly caressing his cheek then lightly held his hand, and Hunter would just lie his head against her hand, and he’d hold hers too, feeling relieved and more than happy to see her again. June would remove the gauze from Hunter’s mouth, asking how he was, he felt ok, not 100%, nowhere near it yet, but he felt better than he was last night. Hunter had been out for 12 hours, the crash having done a number on him. After a few brief and simple examinations and checks, the doctors and June would leave Hunter to rest, they’d ask him what happened after he got some rest. This also left him and his mom alone in the Hospital room. The two of them would just talk and such, though Hunter felt like he was missing something, his bandana, though his mom revealed that she was holding onto it, she knew how much it meant to him, so she’d give it back once he was out of the Hospital, which was reassuring for him. Hunter’s mom would tell him just how scared she was, heartbroken that something like that happened to him, afraid she could have lost him, but seeing him wake up, and seeing that he was ok after she felt so miserable, made her night. Hunter couldn’t help but smile at her comment, even though he apologized for putting her through that, his mom sternly yet motherly told him he had nothing to be sorry for, she was just more than happy that he was ok.
The next day, after getting some rest, Hunter would be asked by the doctor, what happened last night, June had told them what he said “A hit-and-run with 2 cars”, but they wanted the full story, not to mention to get law enforcement involved to see if they could find the 2 drivers that nearly killed him, so, he told them everything, from the moment they came up behind him and followed him for a while, refusing to pass, to one of them suddenly rear-ending him, forcing him to speed off to try and get away from them, and to them chase him down, one of them knocking him off his motorcycle, and nearly being hit by the other one until it swerved around him and hit his motorcycle instead. He would also describe the cars in the best detail he could, to their purple paint, black tinted windows, and that emblem he still wasn’t sure about, he even drew it out from memory, but it was enough information. As for Hunter’s injuries, he had suffered a hairline fracture in his arm, and some bruises, cuts, and abrasions, a bit minor though, but still, and as stated, some of them had to be wrapped up, and a few of them required stitches, he lost a tooth, and had a slight laceration on his tongue, probably from accidentally biting himself, in fact, the most major thing he suffered was when he went unconscious. The doctors said he was lucky to be alive and didn’t break anything, so, he got off kinda lucky. Hunter would spend 2 weeks at the Hospital, for recovery and a bit of further observation and such, he’d do a bit of physical things just to make sure there wouldn’t be any issues before he was released, even though it kinda hurt because of the stitches, and he was still somewhat sore, he could still walk and do other things normally, just nothing too strenuous at first or anything. And it wasn’t so bad, since he’d get frequent visits from his mom and his friends, so it was nice to have them around and keep him company and all. His mom had even brought him a new cell phone while he was there, since the last one broke and all. Although he did have occasional nightmares about the crash here and there, he also couldn’t shake the feeling of “Man, I could’ve died that night.”, though he wouldn’t it get to him, and after 2 weeks had passed, Hunter was finally out of the Hospital, he couldn’t be more happier to be back home, not happier than his mom though, but still, it was great to finally be home.
The next day, Hunter had been, meaning to talk to his mom about something, he had wanted to talk about it at the Hospital, but he decided he’d wait until he got home, in fact, he had actually almost forgotten until he went into the garage, only saw his mom’s car and remembered, “Oh, yeah… I, don't have a motorcycle anymore.” So, Hunter and his mom would sit down, finally asking her, about buying a new motorcycle, his mom would answer him with a stern, “No”, arguing that what happened was too close of a call, and she didn’t wanna risk anything, not to mention those 2 cars that hit him were still out there. Hunter didn’t want to take “no” for an answer, he’d try to argue back that what happened wasn’t his fault, how it wasn’t fair, and how he could be more careful, even though it wasn’t his fault for what happened, he even offered to chip in and help pay for a new one, even if it meant he had to pay full price for it. Despite his protests, his mom wasn’t willing to budge on her decision, she understood his frustration and knew it wasn’t his fault for what happened, but she said “no”, and it was final. While Hunter felt pretty pissed about the whole thing, his motorcycle was his passion, and his mother’s decision felt like more of a punishment for something that wasn’t his fault more than anything, he was pretty frustrated, but at the same time, he couldn’t stay mad at his mom, after all, he could’ve died that night, and he was irreplaceable to her. So, even though he didn’t want to, Hunter would ultimately accept that he’d never ride a motorcycle, ever again. A few months would pass and things were, mostly back to normal, in a sense. Hunter was back to living his life, working at his job, and still wearing his bandana. He now drove his mom’s car to get around or rode with her to places, though he had to be dropped off and picked up on work days. Hunter had gotten used to the changes, but sometimes he couldn’t help but reminisce about riding it again, he missed the thrill, the sound of his motorcycle engine, the feeling of the wind, and he especially missed that feeling of feeling alive and free, something he felt that only his motorcycle could deliver on. He just wished his mom would reconsider, but, there was no use whining about it, his mom’s word was final.
On one particular day, while Hunter was at home, he’d get a call from his mom, just to check on him and everything, however, while on the phone, she told him that she had some news, for him, but she didn’t say what, when he asked her about it she told him it could be anything, and he’d find out what it was soon, all with a hint of motherly smugness in her voice. Even if it was probably something basic or wasn’t that interesting at all, the tone in his mom’s voice said otherwise. So the day went on, Hunter would lounge around, play some video games, draw, and do other things until his mom came home, he eagerly waited to see what his mom had to say, but that was the worst part… she didn’t mention anything about the news, didn’t even hint about it, not once, they just talked a bit about how their days were, ate dinner, did a few other things, and then they went to bed... Now he was even more curious about what she had in mind. The next day, a bright day, Hunter would tiredly walk downstairs to the kitchen where his mom was making breakfast. He wasn’t tired from staying up thinking about what the news was, he was a bit of a night owl, though it was part of the reason. As they ate, Hunter’s mom told him that after he finished eating, to wash up and get dressed, they had a few errands to run, he asked her if there was anything else, and all she’d say was "Heh, well, who knows, we've got a lot of free time today, so, anything could happen.” though she had a slight smirk, only slight, but he'd take that as a sign that maybe she had something else planned today. So, after breakfast, Hunter showered, got dressed, grabbed his bandana, and then they were out and about, going through Town to, like she said, run around and do a few errands. A few hours passed by, and all of a sudden, Hunter’s mom asked him to close his eyes for a bit, it was a surprise. Looks like it was finally happening! Hunter was still pretty hyped, and after about a 2-minute drive, they’d come to a complete stop, his mom would tell him he could open his eyes now, and when he opened them, he’d see they were at a Motorcycle place, it was the same place his mom had gotten his motorcycle, gear and all, at first, while Hunter was excited, they, had to be there for a different reason, right? After all, his mom said it herself, no more riding motorcycles, it was final, well, turns out she had changed her mind, she’d even let him pick out whatever motorcycle he wanted, Hunter was pretty overjoyed to say the least, though there was one little catch…, if he wanted a new motorcycle this time, it was on him. His mom said he was old enough, he was the one who wanted a new motorcycle, so she felt like he had to earn it himself, though she was willing to buy it for him next year or so for his next birthdays. Hunter was conflicted, he knew it would be a lot of work, and it’d probably be his birthday by the time he worked up enough money! But, he was motivated, especially if it would get him a new motorcycle sooner. So, the 2 of them would walk through the lot, looking at all the motorcycles they had, "Hunter loved his old motorcycle; he'd probably end up getting the same model too. But at the same time, it didn't hurt to look around a little. Though he did get distracted by a mystery rider stopped at a red light, something about her caught his attention. For starters, her sleek blue motorcycle looked sleek, modern, pretty kickass, and probably very expensive, but still. And the rider herself, wearing a full helmet, and fully clad in a leather suit, thought she was pretty attractive, smoking hot even. Though it would earn him a teasing punch from his mom, though he’d say he wasn’t staring, much. After looking around at every motorcycle there was at the place, Hunter had finally found a motorcycle that he wanted! and it was only $4,500… Again, he had the option to either save up a lot of money and buy the motorcycle himself, or wait and let his mom buy one for him…
So, going into the Summer, Hunter was more than determined to make all that money he needed, it didn’t matter how long it’d take, or how many shifts it’d take, he was getting that motorcycle one way or another. Hunter knew he’d have a long road ahead of him to make all that much cash, but, in the end, it’d all be worth it! Besides, what could happen?
