Henry’s first ever competition today! Having only been doing xc for about 4 weeks, and having never been to any kind of show before, we went for the little 60-65cm class. Amazingly managed a clear, although very green and looky, round in the individual class. Ok we didn’t really get much canter in, because he was too busy ogling everything that was going on around him and around the course, but for a baby that hadn’t done a lot until I got him 4 weeks ago I don’t think that’s bad!
(Although it was a tiny class I was also pretty nervous since it’s the first course I’ve done since I lost my beautiful Rosie on course back in April, so of course I was very scared of that happening again. So on that front I’m also fairly pleased that once we got going I wasn’t too bad...)
