Activities include dog handling demos, wild game cooking, casting instruction, and hands-on access to archery, shotgun, and .22 rifle ranges. The Division of Hunter Education and Safety is the primary supporter of hunter education in the United States. The division is a part of the National Shooting

A safety brief that introduces them to the concept of hunting and its ethics is part of the hunter education course that is required of all hunters. A demonstration of a firearm safety course might also be part of it.

Your state's approved courses will be listed by the NRA. The purpose of the hunter education course is to ensure that the hunter is familiar with the laws and procedures of hunting in order to secure their safety.

Additionally, it demonstrates to the hunter how to hunt ethically.

Congratulations to the sixteen students that just passed the Hunter Education course held today in East Branch, NY. 😀 We’d like to thank Paul and David Cicio for the use of the Earl Pomeroy Memorial Center. Photographed are two of the newly certified hunters. Kaden is taking aim at a target and Gavin is proudly displaying the certificate he earned.
