mun: this is AU obviously, and originally I was going to make it ’ Modern AU’ with that topic but then decided to make it in the same world, so basically is something similar to Ninja vs Zombies, oh my god what? xD
It had been a few months of peace before the announce of a strange illness was known between the five great countries, at first they spoke of getting everything under control, anyone who had the symptoms could go to them for the cure. Trusting in them was the mistake we made. In matter of time, what they believed was on their control turned the roles and their project became out of their hands. Before we knew it, the infection spread all over the countries, thousands of lives were lost and the new battle between life and death began.
The age of zombies was here.It was dark, and empty, the shelves full of tablets and a few drops of dried and cotted blood over the walls surrounded two dark figures. The first, Temari, was steady and calm guarding for any movements, with her sharp eyes. The other, Sari, was desperately looking for the medicine they were risking her lives for in that instant. “I got it” Sari said firmly, her once joyful voice was lost long ago, the sandy blond kunoichi knew this, for their situation changed people."Take all the ones you find" Temari said as she looked back at the brunette, and with that gaze she understood, there wasn’t enough. The young woman furrowed her brows and soon her attention was brought back to the clinic’s surrounding, Sari learned to understand that gaze, something was wrong but she didn’t noticed anything unusual. "What is it?" Sari whispered while getting closer to Temari while taking out her ninjato, but the other instantly shut her. "Listen…is too quiet" the woman replied while holding her now repaired fan and when both women step back a stinking rotten smell reached them. "Watch out!" Temari shouted while turning around and pulling sari at her back before she was bitten by their enemy but as the blond was taking care of the walking dead, the brunette faced another one she almost tripped with. One, two, three movements. Two down, two to go.No need to speak for they knew their time was up and if two reached them the others were waiting outside to get their fresh meat. “Ready” the elder kunoichi asked and Sari replied with a firm nod, both holding their own weapons firmly. The door was right in front of them and with a kick by the jounin it simply fell and the massive mob of zombies was easily to be seen. Temari made a couple of jutsus with her fan to open space for both women, and as Sari took the lead to get the rebel ones that dared to appraoch both began to run side by side, each zombie the first didn’t took down the other finished it with no hesitation. They began to run as fast as they could, such a shame they couldn’t use much more their chakra or they would attract ‘the big guys’, and while they could gladly kill them with their bare hands any other day, time and luck wasn’t in their favour that night. The Kazekage’s building was soon transformed into the home of a few refugees, every survivor they found. On the last mission there were many casualties and in little time half of the team had grown sick and if they wanted to save them before they turned into the monsters that now were chasing our two fighters, Temari and Sari had to retrieve the medicine in timeOne, two, three movements. “Gah!” Sari snapped as she fell to the floor feeling a slight pain in her left ankle, but there was no time to think a zombie was already about to eat her, and while the brunette was fighting hard against it she was going to lose. Some more blood spitted out as Temari cut the head of her teammate’s zombie. Without words she hurried to help the younger up, Sari, who had a few knowledge in the medical field knew well this could be a possible sprain, “Wait, Temari-san! I will slow you down, take the bag and go back, I’ll handle them—” "I’m not leaving you behind! We came out from the building together, and we’re coming back together!" Temari snapped not really in the mood to hear a no as a response. She meant it, Temari along with her brothers agreed that from now on there shouldn’t be more casualties, not now not ever, in order to survive, they were going to fight and look after the other one.
