I'll Take Care of You

for @drarrymicrofic 's prompt: Incoherent CW: Implied Off-Screen Violence, Bruising, Hurt/Comfort, Hurt Draco, Healing (Harry heals him) (Happy Ending)

When he found Draco, he was incoherent, his cheeks stained with tear tracks, his jacket torn and hanging off of his body. He knelt down, horror and nausea freezing him in place. "Baby, what happened?"

Draco's lower lip wobbled, as he reached up for him, clinging to him, his fingers trembling and twitching against his back. "J-Jumped me. I didn't... I didn't..."

He pulled him into his arms, trying to quell the rising fury he felt, knowing that now wasn't the time to inact revenge. He needed to take care of Draco first, needed to calm his fears and bring him back home. He needed to heal any of the damage he could find and wrap him up in a warm blanket, making sure no one ever laid a finger on him again.

He ran his hand up and down Draco's back, pressing a gentle kiss against the top of his head. "I've got you, Baby. I've got you. You're okay. You're gonna be okay."

Draco let out a heart-wrenching whimper, as his entire body shuddered. "W-wanna go home. Harry, please."

"Okay. We'll go home." He pulled Draco closer, letting him rest his head against his chest. "I'll take care of you. I promise."

Draco sucked in another breath, pressing as close to him as he could. "I know."

He pulled his wand out and brought them both back to Grimmauld Place, helping to lay Draco down on the sofa. Carefully, he slid the tattered jacket off of Draco, pushing it out of sight. If he couldn't heal the damage on his own, he'd take him to St. Mungos, but he knew how much Draco hated that place, and he was already so upset, he didn't want to make it worse if he didn't need to.

Draco was shaking, tiny tremors racing up and down his body, as he watched him, his eyes still glossy with tears. He forced himself to smile, wanting to reassure Draco that everything would be alright, even if it took everything within him to not break down and go look for the people who had done this to him.

Resting one hand against Draco's head, he swept the loose strands of hair out of his face, as he inspected the visible bruising. He summoned his salves and Healing Potions from the other room and set them out on the coffee table, beginning to work through them. At first he started by rubbing one of the salves against the darkened skin on his temple, keeping his fingers light, as he drew small circles, making sure the salve had completely absorbed, before he moved on.

"You're doing so well, Love." He murmured, pressing a soft kiss against Draco's forehead. "Can you show me where else you're hurting?"

Draco rolled his shirt up with one hand, revealing the mottled brusing that spanned from his belly to his chest. He nearly gasped aloud, but he bit down on his lip, not wanting to make Draco feel worse than he already did. To start, he rubbed more salves against the bruise, some were faster acting than others, and he knew they'd continue to dissolve throughout the night, providing relief for hours. Draco flinched beneath his touch, even if his fingers barely grazed his skin, and he whispered his apology with another kiss to his cheek. "Almost done."

Draco's tears had started to dry, as he watched him work. "Thank you."

He grabbed a glittering, green vial and popped the lid open. "You don't need to thank me. Not for this."

He pressed the rim of the vial against Draco's lips, tilting back slowly, so he could take a few sips. Once he'd taken an appropriate dose, he moved to the next bottle. "This will help with the pain."

The corner of Draco's lips tilted into a half-smile, as he opened his mouth, so he poured a few drops onto his tongue, watching as Draco's body finally relaxed, a pleased sigh escaping him. With a flick of his wand, all of the salves and potions vanished, returning to their proper place. He looked around, spotting a blanket that was lying in a heap beside the couch. Picking it up, he draped it over Draco, carefully tucking it in around his sides, while he found a pillow to prop beneath his head. "You get some sleep, Okay?"

Draco nodded, his eyelids starting to grow droopy. "Love... Love you."

"I love you, too." He pressed one last, lingering kiss against his forehead, before he pulled away, finding that Draco was already asleep.
