Harry is twenty-one and three years into living among the current pack, holding secrets and hiding inside the welcome they’ve provided him. He wants to be a powerful omega who can manage independently. Harry doesn’t want a predatory Alpha hovering over him, making his decisions or, even worse, taking away everything he’s gained over the last years. At twenty-four, Louis is the pack Alpha’s son who’s returned to the pack without his mate. Six years ago, he rescinded his place as heir to follow his mate, but now all alone, he plans to stay that way. He knows nothing of Harry or his presence in the pack, not privy to his secrets or needed protection. It’s a surprise when upon meeting the omega, he drops in front of him, imperceptibly changing the perspective for his future. Despite their initial reluctance to embrace the inevitable, Harry’s true pack unexpectedly comes for him, having found his new home. In turn, Louis knows he must protect Harry no matter what the cost. The risk is great and the Alpha may lose everything he knows, including his own pack in the fight to save Harry’s freedom.
