I may die a sugary death

I've been spending sooo much time in the kitchen! :)  Oreo cheesecake cupcakes, cookies, and double chocolate bars are the most recent result. That excludes the dinners of chickens, rices, vegetables, and burritos I've been making. The kitchen is a happy place :)  I love being able to brighten the days of those around me with simple baked pleasures :)

Is this a trick? Or some kind of game?

Ok, so we had cable + DVR installed today in preparation for the watching of Game of Thrones. (And we'll be canceling it again right after it's over. We take that shit for serious in this household, y'all. But anyway.) This happened today, while I was at work -- HusbandInTraining was here since he is working night shift tonight.

So he's now asleep, and there's a New Shiny Thing With Buttons that I wish to figure out how to use. Only he seems to have hidden the new remote. I see the remote's wrapper, even the directions on how to put in the motherfucking batteries. But the remote itself? NOWHERE.

And with the texts I was getting today about his frustrations with the cable guy's untimely arrival and construction outside, I know it took him forever to get to sleep so I do not want to wake him, BUT GODDAMN I WANT TO PLAY WITH NEW SHINY THING WITH BUTTONS AND AM BEING THWARTED.

This. Is. Maddening. WTF.
