Headcanon:

Katsu doesn’t mind if anyone is taller or shorter than him, but if they make fun of his height, then he suddenly ‘cares,’ granted not that much. He prefers people that are taller than him, contrary to popular belief. He likes looking up to people, namely men. Women that are taller than him are acceptable, but he doesn’t like it when they make note of his lack of height. [Cough, Habren, cough cough.]

yeah, the wiki cleared that up for me! 

what i don’t get tho is how like medi-gel works outside of oneself or in casual use bc like in leviathan dlc, james uses his omni-tool to apply medi-gel in bryson’s lab but he’s not wearing his armor. which gets me bc... medi-gel is a solid ointment-y substance so... where is it? does it come out of his omni-tool?

and during other parts of the games, shepard and crew can be seen healing other npcs with their own omni-tool which made me think that medi-gel is like some.... idk generated substance? bc the omni-tool can create stuff (like omni weapons which are solid even when the tool itself is holographic)
