{7:25 am} “you did so well, hyunjoon. i’m so incredibly proud of you.”

you hold hyunjoon close as tears silently cascade down his face, rubbing his back softly as your own tears begin to form.

he lifts his head to smile at you. you brush his disheveled hair from his face.

“thank you, y/n. your support means the world to me. please don’t ever leave me.”

you give him a sad smile, your heart breaking for the wonderful boy in front of you. you reach up and place a gentle kiss on his forehead to reassure him.

“i wouldn’t even dream of it. i love you. your members love you. and deobi loves you. forever and always.”

“I’ll see you next time, Hwallie!” You exclaimed with a smile, nervously shuffling to move towards the next member in line. What stopped you from advancing was Hyunjoon’s tight grip on your warm hand, his fingers still interlaced with yours in a strong lock. 

The idol held on for a couple of more seconds, taking in your beautiful, euphoric appearance, along with your positive energy. You were the last fan of today’s fansign and that day, Hyunjoon swore to remember the faces of as many fans as possible. The words you told him just a few minutes ago rang inside of his head, panging his chest heavily.

“I love you with my whole heart and I want you to be happy and healthy. I hope you know that”

The more Hyunjoon looked at you, at every fan that he met, the more emotional he felt. You expected him to say something back, but he never did. What was there to say? Hyunjoon wasn’t a liar, but at that moment he wanted to promise you that he’ll be there the next time you came.

Instead of a verbal answer, the boy smiled endearingly and the grip on your hand tightened before he finally let go.

“I’ll see you” The idol whispered, more so to himself than for anyone else to hear. He’ll be there to greet and see you again one day. But not like Hwall. He’ll be there for you as Heo Hyunjoon. 

He was sure that you’ll also be there to support him, no matter what, just like you always did.

you didn’t know what to do. you didn’t know what to believe. you were confused but you were also heartbroken. it was your one year anniversary with hwall and he wasn’t there. you had called him earlier and he didn’t mention it but you didn’t think he’d actually forget your anniversary. you didn’t think he’d forget until you saw his friend’s, eric’s, snapchat story of hwall grinding on some girl at the club. you couldn’t face him especially if he just knocked at the door.

“hey baby,” hwall said hesitantly, “i heard you saw eric’s snapchat.”

you scoffed, “why do you hate me?”

“i don’t hate you, y/n.”

“you must hate me... to forget about me? on our anniversary? i wanted hours for you! i called you multiple times! and for what? someone who doesn’t give a fuck about me? you skipped our anniversary to go dance on girls at the club.”

“it was a mistake,” he began to say.”

“yeah? a mistake? is that what you’re calling it? are... are the hickeys on your neck a mistake too? you let her mark up your neck like that? hyunjoon, i can’t believe you!”

“i know i fucked up... badly but baby, please. i swear i won’t do it again. i can’t lose you like this.” hwall begged.

“and how do i know that? how do i know that you won’t do it again and again and again? i can’t do this forever. we can’t keep this up forever.”

“y/n... please don’t. i’m sorry.”

“i’m sorry too but i can’t do this anymore. goodbye, hyunjoon.” you said before shutting the door.
