In the last eighteen hours, Joseph had done little more than watch over his siblings the best that they would allow him. He hardly afforded himself sleep, not when one of the youngest of the four had LOST HIS LIFE and somehow, miraculously rose from the dead only hours later. He feared what would happen if he left, if he ventured out to slay more beasts despite the notion that he was meant to be doing just that. God had a tendency to take what He wanted from Joseph and often made clear demands, but this was different, Joseph felt.
It wasn’t unlike him to tell others that his DOORS WERE ALWAYS OPEN. As a preacher and a man of God, he truly believed that much about himself. He could afford that in his own life, to be willing to be of service to others. It was how he wound up with the Project at Eden’s Gate in the first place. He accepted and loved those who had never felt either of those things in their past lives. He offered life to those who had their own ripped from them; a family when their own abandoned them. This time, when he opened the door, a small albeit genuine smile crossed his features as he looked to the brunette. “I have been exhausted ever since this whole ordeal began, Hekate, but as always, your presence alone is such a source of TRANQUILITY.” He then stepped back, door opened wider as he continued, “Come in. To what do I owe this pleasure?”
