MUSIC POST BELVITE EDITION

Maverick: listens to fuckin dad music (country & classic rock).  Since he met the kids he’s heard some modern pop by proximity & is fine with it as long as it’s not horny.  Doesn’t play any instruments, it just never called to him.

Lorant: Exclusively listens to instrumentals and foreign music(started as an anime thing, branched out into anything with lyrics he can’t understand).  He likes the music part & feels that invoking explicit human concepts over it is reductive.  Has probably picked up several instruments but never got very far with any of them before he lost interest.  Owns a theremin

Kenny: Also really into anime soundtracks & emo pop, she is just a 16 year old weeb with anger issues.  Plays the ukelele.  Doesn’t really know music theory/can barely read sheet music, just learns songs she likes.

Gale: Dad music preferred but he’ll listen to anything that’s not extremely metal/screamy(it rattles his nerves).  Probably picked up some maracas when Kenny got the ukelele just cuz they’re cheap & easy & fun for father-daughter bonding time but otherwise doesn’t know shit about music

Marta: Honestly just likes live music, is content with pop music of any era. Can’t go to actual concerts anymore but she will hire local bands to play at events she’s hosting when she can.  I feel like she played the piano or violin when she was a babey but hasn’t touched either since she left high school.

Tobi:  Classical music, which he thinks makes him cool & refined.  Doesn’t actually know enough to identify a song or composer or even what instrument is being played at him.  He just turns on the radio to that weird channel that only plays classical or types ‘classical music’ into youtube.  Wishes he knew how to play an instrument but would never put the work in to do it.  HOWEVER he knows a weird amount about waltzes & other old people dances.

Tevyn:  They grew up on folk/religious music cuz back home they didn’t have the access to electricity to be wasting it on playing music & had to make their own instruments & sing their own songs.  That will always hold a special place in their heart but the first time they listened to music with a nice headset they fucking cried & they really like layered music with little details you can only pick out if you’re paying close attention.  (Tobi thinks they pretend to like classical for his sake but they do genuinely like it a lot).  DOESN’T play an instrument but thinks they might like to.

Buddy:  Likes fast paced music with lots of words(no repetitive lyrics, needs to be a legit poem set to music).  Which is just rap, but also shit like MSI.  Also likes sad music he can have a nice cry to.  Does not have the attention span to learn an instrument, but might sign up for guitar lessons or something  just to have forced interaction with another human being.

Hyaki:  All the goth emo shit she’s had the same music taste since she was 13 & she’s embarrassed about it but it doesn’t stop her.  Absolutely was forced to learn an instrument when she was a kid.

Soleil: pump up music, anything she can work out/beat your ass to.

Pets are a big part of my life but i never think to give them to my ocs. So. Oc pet post is go (belvite edition)

Maverick: has several chickens, specially made them lil bracelets enchanted to scare away predators, they are emboldened & absolute menaces. Also has those cow bones he necromancies a lot but to call that a pet feels off

Lorant: no pets. Doesn't care about animals & honestly should not be left alone with them. Family might have a fancy fish tank in the living room but otherwise no critters. Or idk maybe he has a tamagotchi

Hyaki: absolutely a Horse Girl. Family prolly has all kinds of livestock but she's more connected to her horses.

Gale & Kenny: They have got to have a dog. Like a big one they can fuckin wrestle & has its own couch.

Marta: she's an ex librarian, she craves companionship but is terrified to leave her house. This woman has AT LEAST 4 cats.

Tevyn: idk tev looks at an animal & just sees meat. Might enjoy watching local wildlife fuck around in their garden but doesnt really care to get closer than that to an animal theyre not actively trying to eat. They do like mounted/framed insects tho.

Tobi: probably one of those assholes who will get lonely, get a cat or a dog, realize its more of a hassle than he cares to deal with, then get rid of it.

Buddy: loves animals so much, but is also just so irresponsible & dumb of ass & prone to not returning home for days at a time. Would take the family cockatiel to school w him in his hoodie pocket & feed it tater tots at lunch. Tries to befriend every stray animal. Lies on his kitchen floor in the dark for hours at a time so he can watch the mice raid his pantry.

Soleil: (exclusively imaginary conjurations in her faerealm) big exotic creatures. Like a panther or bigass snake or something. Likes the aesthetic but does not have a nurturing bone in her body

House post: belvite edition(volume 2)

Hyaki: her family house is as old as the fuckin town, fuckin historic as hell. Every generation has left its mark & they do their best to honor & preserve it all. Its musty & weird-shaped the way old buildings are, with thin walls & too-steep stairs & yellowed glass but it is cherished & only feels a little bit haunted.

Even the furniture is antique. If you went far enough into the attic who knows what kind of ancient treasure you will find.

It's not SUPER COMFORTABLE & the adults are VERY PARTICULAR about being careful not to break anything so like, good thing its a farm and everybody is outside 90% of the time anyways.

Hyaki's room is (CAREFULLY) plastered over with band posters & other goth shit. Really is only in her room to use the bed, has a radio on her night stand to hide all the old house noises & help her sleep.

Buddy: hector's old house, that he lives in alone(tries to get roommates but inevitably annoys/creeps them to death). It's old & janky but not as old as hyaki's house. (Have been toying w the idea of this being maverick's childhood home but i cant be fucked to figure out the timeline on that rn & its not important).

Absolutely no fucks given at preserving the house. He fingerpaints on the walls, hasnt vacuumed since he moved in, if something breaks it stays broken, weird stains on the carpet in every room. Life hack: if half the bulbs in the house are burnt out nobody can see all the stains & dead bugs & dust bunnies.

Some of the windows are boarded over & the lawn is overgrown, absolutely looks abandoned except that buddy likes to decorate for holidays & put sparkly stickers on the remaining windows & mailbox.

Could 100% be the backdrop for a very sad horror game.

It is not a fancy neighborhood but his neighbors....do not like him

tfw you refuse to let god kill ur best friend/crush and in return for your rescue & the sacrifice of your arm she skips town and ur slowly coming to terms with the fact that She Actually Was A Shitty Person and just because you love someone doesn’t mean they are infallible nor should they be exempt from punishment just because you are in a position to excuse them but even after realizing you are physiologically incapable of playing the role of Justice the only atonement the old god will accept is for you to deliver the disembodied head of your ex-best friend and you Can Not Do That but then the old god recruits a literal child to finish the job for you and you don’t know which is worse: killing your friend or letting a child bloody her hands for your weakness
