Together with colleagues from Grand Hyatt Singapore, 50 students between the ages of 7 to 12 from Rainbow Centre Yishun Park School had the chance to become ‘little diggers’ and realised their dreams of operating smaller scale construction machinery including real life excavators, a wrecking ball and giant clawed diggers. This outing was part of the Global Month of Service community outreach programme during the month of April 2016. Rainbow Centre Singapore – Yishun Park School offers special education programmes and services for children with development delay, intellectual disability, physical disability, multiple disabilities or autism spectrum disorders. The fun afternoon provided students with a hands-on and engaging experience outside of the classroom, and at the same time, gave the volunteers a chance to better understand the varying diversity of students with special developmental and learning needs. #HyattThrive #InAHyattWorld
