Like most technology, the Nintendo Switch isn’t safe from hackers. One interesting thing homebrewers discovered within Switch’s code was an NES emulator called “Flog.” As it turns out, Flog is actually the classic …
The game only runs on July 11. This is the same day Iwata passed away. Manually changing the date to July 11 will not work. It is only accessible on the actual date. On top of that, one needs to perform specific hand motions with detached joy-con controllers in order to activate it. The hand gestures are reminiscent of those made by Iwata during Nintendo Direct presentations.
You might wonder how Golf is a tribute to Iwata. Many know Iwata as the Nintendo president. Before that, he was a programmer, and Golf was one of the titles he worked on. Since Golf is in every Switch, a piece of code written by Iwata is also on every system. That’s beautiful, quite frankly.
