I'm still hoping that the ending of HYMIM is some sort of a sick april fools joke ..
I don't know, for me the first seasons were all ok. Then I started to get bored. Still, I've watched them all. But the latest episodes were just presenting minor conflicts with happy ending and all that. But the first seasons, it was really about life itself. About how complicated, but at the same time simple life is. I mean, we see one episode and a whole season for a pregnancy, and just 40 minutes gives us all the drama twisting possible? Probably this is just to be memorable. However, did you ntoice the difference between the first seasons and the other episodes? It felt like the inspiration the writers had in the first seasons returned, saw everything and said:"What? This ain't a happy family feud! This is life and sh*t. Just put all the twists right there, stab those viewers in their hearts, I want everything to be like it was in the first part of the shows! Bring that Robin with nothing figured out in her personal life, that playboy Barney who wouldn't settle down for any woman but his daughter, and give Ted a kick in his late 40's ass to move it and make the god damn right move he was supposed to do from the beginning!" And that was it. They brought up the atmosphere again. But still, that huge gap just made me stare like "wtf stop sucking my tears with those events that are told like that's how life it is". Maybe it wasn't like in the fairytales. Maybe all we wanted was a perfect life for them. But as far as I'm concerned, that's not why I loved that show. Not because I waited for a miracle to happen. No. It's because I could identify somehow with them, I could see that even with their hardships in life they've managed to get through and live on. Because this is what life's all about, and it's more motivating that any other "happy ever after" ending. But still, all that drama? Seriously? Why wouldn't have it loosen it up with the other episodes? But I think it just came up in the last moment. Kind of funny, but that's how inspiration kicks you in the guts.
Expressed my honest opinion about the finale ending...
Let's get ready to loose some followers...
Everyone is pissed off with the HIMYM finale, but to me the past is very important, it guides us through the future and the present. We know our what was great or wrong. You can't delete the past, sometimes you shouldn't repeat it but, another times you should rebuild what was in the past and turn it into your future.
Just ended watching HIMYM
It was a roller coaster of emotions only one episode
This was a lifetime of emotions, I was seriously devastated with all of the sad moments and I would have loved that it would have ended with differently but I always felt that this was the way to be. HYMIM is a show that will last forever.
AND IT WAS LEGENDARY
