Ya know what fuck it all. I put on a skirt to see if It would look okay for a job interview and I felt my mental health start slipping almost instantly as I berated myself for “"not being trans enough”“ and ”“being too feminine”“ and ya know what? None of that shit. I will be the world’s prettiest goddamn boy there ever was. I will paint my nails and wears dresses and wear as short of cut offs as I please and I will fucking enjoy myself. I don’t give a shit anymore. Gender roles are fucking stupid. I still identify as a boy and I still use he/him/his but fuck if I ain’t gonna rock this body positivity. (And yeah, I did tape over farm girl and replace it with farm boy). And sure, come tomorrow I’ll probably peel off my duct tape and wear some baggy shorts and hope that if I slouch enough no one will call me she. But right now?

Right now I’m living. I’m living in an outfit that makes me look damn good, curves and fat and scars and all. And someday, I’ll be confident enough to rock that everyday. And when I get to that point ain’t no one gonna take that away from me.

I know I've read that when you shut down its near impossible to move, but I have ADHD so I constantly need to be moving. So even when I shut down (at least I'm pretty sure it's a shut down) I still feel the need to move even though it's really hard for me to do. Even if it's just stimming or pacing I feel like I need to do it. Is this actually a shut down though if I can still move? Or is it something else?

That could definitely still be a shutdown, particularly given the overlapping ADHD. The fact that it is difficult for you to move during these times sounds like a shutdown. I too still need to move during a shutdown but it’s really hard to do so which gets frustrating.
