somebody should send bill's ass to hyperbolica now. for the lulz.
I'm playing Hyperbolica, and it's really mean that the clue for one of the collectibles is that it's "in a corner" of the Infinity Cafe. The Cafe has like a billion corners. And also, no corners, technically
There's a guy in Hyperbolica who says "Maybe art is just the meaning we ascribe to experiences. Like, have you ever had a really good sandwich? Now that's art!" And I think he has so much to teach us.
Watching through the CodeParade Hyperbolica devlogs and feeling the same giddiness I felt wearing that miku skirt
Hyperbolica (Snow Fight)
I played the strangest simple game in VR today, which I got for $1 in the Steam Summer Sale. Walking around non-Euclidian space in VR is a trip, and I absolutely do NOT recommend it for people who get easily motion-sick, but if you don't like me then Hyperbolica is an interesting diversion! I'm not even sure if I plan on continuing it, but the concept itself is worth a look (at least at its current price)!
Group C Round 1
Kim Koizumi (Chroma Key) vs NIL (Hyperbolica)
Kim Koizumi
NIL
[image ID: the first image is of Kim Koizumi, a Japanese woman with short black hair. she's wearing a red and white checkered overshirt with the sleeves rolled up, and a gray undershirt. behind her is her in her red ranger costume. the second image is of NIL, a robot. its body is round, with a thick "neck" emerging and ending with a red visor. it appears to be attached to the wall or ceiling. end ID]
Kim Koizumi
Kim is a super nerd with a love for action and tokusatsu. Luckily for her she basically gets the opportunity of every power ranger fan's dream and gets to be the equivalent of the red ranger for her team. She's inspiring, she's frustrating, and she's got a hotblooded attitude like a shonen protagonist. She's the team leader and she's got a lot of growing to do all while kicking alien butt. She's also AroAce!
NIL
NIL, a rogue moderation AI for VR worlds accessed by those with the BrainLink brain implant, created the VR world Hyperbolica. (In fiction, of course. the game hyperbolica was made by youtuber CodeParade). It allows people whose brain matches certain frequencies into Hyperbolica when they sleep with BrainLink running. Once in Hyperbolica, NIL scans & copies their brains, creating a virtual clone that then deviates from the original. You, the player, spend the game within Hyperbolica, and eventually destroy NIL. Those already copied into Hyperbolica now have no physical bodies to return to, but a portal is opened allowing them to escape Hyperbolica and explore other virtual worlds.
