How do we start this CloverKit Project? The bigger one you were talking about.

Ah, yeah, they moved to @teampaintedpaws due to some issues with the creator of Cloverkit.

There are still oc blogs that you can submit to, like @simplyoriginalcharacters (who also do character critiques like @ocsandartists!) and @submit-your-oc (which is a great way to get exposure for artists who need an audience!) but none of the ones I keep track of actually do what TeamCloverKit was doing.

I went into the CloverKit tag to do research for this ask (because i honestly missed all the drama?? nobody told me it was a thing lmao) and was sort of surprised to see my original post near the top; the blog isn’t a lot like that first idea makes it sound. Now It’s more of a teaching tool than a place for older artists to find something to doodle in their spare time. (and to reflect that, I should probably update the about…again. I’ll do it once the taglist is up)

If you’d like to help a young artist, submit a form to be a mentor (form found in the Mentor FAQ); if you’d like to become an apprentice (or if you know someone who would), go ahead and take a look at the list on the mentor’s page, and if you just want critique on a character, you can submit to any of the three aforementioned blogs, including @ocsandartists

If you want to do what CloverKit was originally suggesting (drawing fanart of other people’s ocs) check out @teampaintedpaws for info on that. (whenever doing anything involving a character that’s not yours and isn’t a canon part of some big fandom it’s always best to ask permission before drawing fanart anyway. That said you’re free to draw my characters #shamelessselfpromotion)
