I don't usually like posting FFA screenshots but these posts by others about wank in a hypothetical Kal/Marcus fandom crack me up so much I want to save them forever.

Note: Not all of these ships will be cannon, some will be hotly debated by the hypothetical fandom. But... I wanted to list some ship name ideas.

Mira/Metallic x Royale: Mirale, Roytallic

Mira x Harper: Mirper

Blink/Aria x Eight: Blight

Rainy x Rose: AquaFlower (Maybe, idk about this one)

Alex x Seraphine: Alephine/Seralex

Diana x Nova: Dianova/Noana

Skull Blaze x Hunter/Marcus: Haze

Blink/Aria x Hunter/Marcus: Maria/Arcus/Huntink/Blinker

Blink/Aria x Rainy: Rink/Blainy

Alex x Maximus: Alemus/Maxilex

DianaxRainy: Raina

Thinking about fannon vs cannon in regards to how a fandom would probably percieve my Ink-Stained Monarchy characters. Since fannon tends to pick a single aspect of a character's personality in relation to either what they're doing or in regards to a specific, more popular character, it's fun to guess who will be what.

I'll be explaining what the fandom is likely to latch onto, and slightly debunk it for my own amusement.

Blink: Fannon would likely latch onto her role as head of the inquisition and the way she protects her inquisitors, likely putting her into a mother role or mindset. Common trope will be adopting every kid under the sun. Blink actually doesn't want to mother all these inquisitors but she feels she has no choice as head inquisitor.

Rainy: super aggressive and confrontational over everything. Bakugo from my hero, probably dialed down to a 7 instead of a 10. They'd see her get incredibly defensive over her sister being taken and take that as a default.

Nova: Fandom would probably focus on her high rebelliousness, making her seem more ready to argue against anything on the spot. They'll also make her a lot edgier similar to how the miraculous fandom treated adrien for the longest time.

Diana: Fannon would probably mark her down as overly prideful or vain. They'll villainize her in every high school au, because she's 'better than everyone else' while completely ignoring the fact that that only applies to areas where she knows she's has an advantage, and ignoring all of her development. Either that or they're going to see her as 'Nova's Girlfriend' and that's as far as her fanon personality goes.

Autumn and Aurora: Fandom is definitely going to make these two exact opposites, where Aurora is going to be interpreted as overly negative while Autumn is going to be over the top positive and loud. Both are also going to be slapped with autism and/or adhd and infantilized for it.

Marcus: Tumblr Sexyman. Fanon is either going to wet cat him or make him overly sexy I just know it. They're gonna turn him into Bucky Barnes 2.0 after the second book.

Mira: Deadbeat mom. Lot of fanfics are going to make her seem like a shitty person in general towards Seraphine because of something that happened when she was just getting out of what may as well be a cult.

Idk why I'm saying this now for a hypothetical possibility of ISM being made into an actual story and gaining traction but I would be curious what the fandom would actually look like, how people would percieve the characters to look

I'd love to read the fanfiction to see how they portray these stories, hell I'm constantly biased on favorite characters so I'd have no clue who'd take the most interest.

And like that might seem like I'm idolizing the good what ifs but the bad ones too would be curious and maybe a little amusing. The fandom drama is bound to happen, characters are bound to be misrepresented and someone is going to be wildly hated for no reason. Ship wars, bad characterization, accusations of cliche, all of it seems neat to witness.

Regardless, I really hope one day I finish this book and get to witness a small fandom form. Might even go under cover and infiltrate the fandom under a secret name to see what these people really think.
