Mamenbara Plateau -  Myohoshoji Temple

This temple sits 340 meters above sea level, high on the mountain ridge between Otaki and Kamogawa cities. The views from the observatory are amazing. In 1951, the priests planted 20,000 blue hydrangeas. Seventy years later, it is breath taking walking among them.

We visited them a little later towards the end of their flowering but it was still magical.
