Honestly I am just. Beside myself with excitement about Horizon: Forbidden West. HZD's map effectively has no render distance. Fog who? White wall? Never heard of it. Loading screen? I think the fuck NOT!
When I get home I'll take a screenshot, but you can literally spend a couple of minutes to climb up an airplane wing, and see not only Meridian and the Spire, but the mountains behind it that border the playable area from just behind Aloy's house. If you have Frozen Wilds (you should, it kicks ass,) you can see the entirety of your new zone laid out before you. You can see every stormbird not blocked by a mountain or mesa. It's pure insanity. It's incredible! You know how I found the last bandit camp? I saw smoke in the trees, from a solid five minute ride away. Just. Holy SHIT I'm so exited to see what Guerilla Games is going to do with a whole new set of hardware, I'm absolutely going to be vaporized on the spot
