Walk with me here. An edit of Bard and Thranduil with the opening song from the live action beauty and the beast where Bard is Belle and Thranduil is Gaston.

Specifically the part that goes, "There must be more than this provincial life!" "Just watch I'm going to make Belle my wife!"

Bard could be Gaston, but it's funnier if he isn't because Luke Evans plays them both.

Okay lil dnd update, spoilers ahead for CoS

So after the festival, Strahd obviously comes along like the little baby he is and fucks up the town and leads us to the church for a big fight. Against all odds we win the fight, the very last turn Atmos (cleric) and Ex (rouge) are at 0hp. Atmos saves their death saving throw but Ex doesn't, that's fine we've got more rolls and we killed all the vampires! But no Strahd comes up to us, slow clapping, cocky af, talking about boohoo clerics remind me of my brother wah wah wah, and kicks Atmos. Auto crit two fails. Great. Carries on his little speech. Kicks Atmos again. Auto crit. Atmos is dead. Saff (ranger) and Nickolai (sorcerer) are besides themselves. Strahd carries on. Kicks Ex, Ex is also dead now. Saff and Nic are pleading for their lives to no avail. Strahd tosses a scroll of revivify between us and tells them to 'choose', making it clear that there is a right choice, and that if they revive the cleric that he will kill them again and again in an endless cycle of purgatory. Eventually they revive Ex, Atmos is still dead. But before Strahd leaves he decides he's... hungry. He drinks from Atmos. He feeds Atmos his blood. Atmos is alive!... but a dhampir. Ruh roh. He leaves and it starts to sink in. Atmos is still out of it but receives a message from Strahd basically trying to turn Atmos against the rest of the group. It momentarily works, Atmos looks at Nickolai at tells him 'this is your fault'. Heartbreaking given his backstory but I've yapped enough. The group is devastated and traumatised in the best way and we truly have the best DM
