Thinking about all of the BookTok people who say keep politics out of reading and it just… infuriates me.

There’s nothing I can say that hasn’t been said already but oh my gosh I will reiterate this time and time again reading; IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE POLITICAL.

The way government bodies will try to change what can and cannot be read at school should tell you something… Why do book bans occur?

If reading isn’t political then there is no issue with someone picking up a book that touches on a particular, potentially controversial subject matter.
