What the fuck did Rasa hear.
Imagine sealing an aggressive demon inside of your son and then getting angry that your son is aggressive.
Bitch where the fuck do you think he learnt it from.
Good dad Rasa makes me cry. Gaara deserved a good father, not what Rasa was.
You mean to tell me that Rasas bright idea to save his village was sealing an aggressive demon into his child? Thats it? That was his plan? Seal a demon into a child and expect it to turn into a perfect, strong weapon with no side effects whatsoever?
NO WONDER THE VILLAGE DIDN'T GET ANY FUCKING BETTER.
A little post related to my previous post about Rasa getting away with child abuse but it got me thinking that really, even with Narutos help, Rasa being gone is the only reason Gaara was able to change. That man controlled every Ninja in Suna and sent six assassins after his own son. Learning that his son had made a friend would only anger him (this idea stems from "you have friends!?". Even if it was a genuine surprise it was still mean and degrading (in my opinion)). I don't think he wouldn't have liked Gaara trying to change and grow because in my opinion he didn't like that Gaara wasn't something he could control.
To me, it always seemed like Rasa believed that Gaara failed because his emotions got the best of him (a six year old let me remind you) and it made me think that what Rasa wanted wasn't just a vessel, it was a weapon. Because weapons don't think. So they can't disobey you. They don't have minds of their own so they're ideal. I mean, could you imagine if swords could slash people on their own?
He wouldn't like that Gaara wasn't controllable so for him to want to not kill people, something that was completely against his purpose of being born, would have been absolutely unacceptable. He definitely would have tried to stop it.
I think Gaara displaced his anger into his victim (even just a little). Displaced anger is a defense mechanism and is when someone takes their anger out on someone or something else, rather than the cause/trigger of their anger. I find it hard to believe that Gaara just suddenly turned evil insane murderer without there being some form of mental factor because what he went through was highly traumatic and had a huge effect on the way he turned out. He definitely had trouble coping with Yashamarus betrayal and he took it out on others.
Just thinking about Gaaras behaviour when he was 12. A lot of it are signs of neglect and emotional abuse. He doesn't seem like he has very many physical signs of abuse probably because he wasn't able to get hurt. But he has SO many emotional signs. The obsession with love, the aggression, terrible relationships with the people around him, problems with expressing emotions, not understanding why people got hurt protecting eachother, and murderous tendencies are all signs of abuse and neglect. He didn't start out that way. When he was a child he was shy and he felt bad after he hurt people. Not that he meant to hurt them anyway. He wanted to play and everyone ran away from him. He didn't understand because he was a child. He tried to bring a girl some ointment and she called him a monster. He internalized it. Rasa had no right to be upset about the way Gaara turned out because it was his fault. You can't raise someone to be aggressive and violent and then get upset when they really do turn out that way.
U when rasa
