whyyy did we just never learn the stories of the 3 most important characters in stranger things

first off, we have Henry, and obviously we know stuff about him from the play, but in the end nothing from the play was mentioned in the show at all. we should've gotten to see his life at the lab. what experiments were conducted on him? for how long? how did he react to having his blood taken to make copies of him...and what happened for Brenner to implant the soteria in him? a billion questions all left unanswered. we didn't get to see his relationships with anyone in the lab (barely any scenes with El too). what I'm most mad about is how little we got to see of him with brenner

brenner and Henry have such a complex and interesting relationship that is never explored in the show. we should've seen brenner's reaction to henry's 'death'. we should've seen his thoughts during every experiment he conducted on not only Henry but all the lab children. after all, this man is a genius. he is so so significant and to me he is one of the real villains in st. he's such an asshole and he along with the MF corrupted Henry and abused him. also the grooming was wild?? if you've seen TFS.

lastly the mind flayer, who was defeated in s5 in 5 seconds. such a powerful entity but no history or anything. the VR game has more info on the mind flayer than the show. see, the MF is so interesting and literally the main villain. such an important character and we don't get to learn much about it?? there should've been like a whole other season explaining just the MF and Henry, etc. the ending also sucked ass, I wish Henry could've broken free from the MF because their objectives were different, but the MF was the only thing that had ever "wanted" him (besides Brenner but sadly he died before getting what he deserved) so I guess he felt attached and didn't think he could let go

i wish there were more fics that went over these but like most of them focus on El and will, esp because people see Henry as just a villain. they don't bother understanding him or seeing how deep he is
