7. Share a snippet from one of your favorite pieces of prose you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it. (starting off with the tough ones, huh?)

It's a cold autumn night when Geralt realizes his efforts are doing no good. They're at an inn, in a single bed because Geralt won't let him get very far away anymore. Jaskier is facing the wall, his back to Geralt's chest when he finally hears the words he's been dreading.

"It's not going to get better, is it?" Geralt's voice is soft but seems like thunder in his ears and Jaskier squeezes his eyes shut.

"No, darling, it's not."

Geralt's arm tightens a little around him, though Jaskier suspects it's a reflex. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"I don't want to worry you. I was hoping you'd be gone for the winter before it got this bad."

"I won't leave you like this," Geralt rumbles, "there must be something I can do."

This was actually from one of my October prompts (day 7 - hanahaki) and I didn’t think much of it until I re-read it the other night. I like the emotion in this part, and I feel like maybe this little bit on its own doesn’t do it justice, but I just really liked the feeling of this bit.

17. Do you write your story from start to finish, or do you write the scenes out of order? I plot a story waaaay out of order, but when I actually sit down to write, I pretty much have to write it in order or I wind up rewriting large chunks of it anyway.

There have been SO MANY lately, two specifically on Good as Gold this week that I cackled at, but my favourite all time comment is very simple. @contemplativepancakes left it on a destiel fic approximately 100 years ago and not only did it make me laugh (over and over again) but it’s the reason I first messaged her (I think?) Okay as someone who adored Octopath Traveler, I think Octopath Traveler 2 blows it out of the water. It's so good! I already loved the gameplay of one, but the new features really add so much! And of course the stories are wonderful, but they added more character interactions which was the biggest disappointment I had with the original.

And also I'm in love with Temenos.
