To anybody still thinking of Hungary: other goods news, I have for you!
Y'know how you can offer a certain percentage of your taxes up to different organizations, like churches, schools, orphanges, etc. ?
About a few years back, my dad offered up 1 percent of his taxes to an evangelical church who founded multiple schools for orphan children. Unfortunately, due to certain "legal procedural errors" that one percent never arrived, so instead the government (Orbán's government!) took it back.
Low and behold, two days after Tisza winning the elections, my dad received an email that the one percent he offered up to evangelicals years ago, arrived.
Come to find out, Orbán and the leader of the organization, Iványi Gábor, have been beefing this entire time. (To put it simply.)
It's genuinely so cartoonish to me. It's rotten, I want everyone to know.
