FUTURAMA 1.03 - I, Roommate

Fun thing about rewatching "Futurama" from the beginning is remembering where some of my favorite jokes come from. Just finished "I Roommate" which is the origin of the iconic Professor Farnsworth "To shreds you say?" meme. Also Bender's classic line "of all the friends I've had, you're the first" which I have said to multiple friends over the years (yeah, I'm a liar.)

early futurama is fun because all these scenes of pre-character-development fry and leela being delightfully stupid are ten times as funny when you think about how Super Married they're gonna be someday

watching futurama again with the intent of spotting freeler... y'all, how did i miss all the gay stereotypes in the early seasons between bender and fry, they deadass had both fry AND bender living in literal closets in "i, roommate"

I think about that mini fruit salad tree from Futurama at least three times a day. I would do literally anything to live in a world where tiny bananas grow right next to tiny apples on a plant that's small enough to live on your desk. That is utopia to me. That is a vision of the future I could fight for.
