@neil-gaiman absolutely flattered by this assessment of my writing! I greatly admire you as an author and rather enjoy your method of engaging with fans via Tumblr; you’re one of the few celebrities I actually follow on any platform! Have you taken this “I Write Like” test? I wonder how accurate it is and whether the AI will correctly judge your writing style as, well, yours.

Apparently I write like Anne Rice? Which is hilarious because I can’t read her books. Too much deviation into information that I don’t need. It’s distracting.

Anywho, this was fun if anyone else wants to try?

Omg, you guys, through Neil Gaiman's Masterclass I found this incredible website where you can insert some of your writing and find out which famous writer's work it resembles!!

I've put in several of my stories (both fanfiction and original fiction) and even some academic writing, and my result is very consistent. Apparently I write like *drum roll*:

AGATHA CHRISTIE!

Having just read "The Truants" (where her work is heavily referenced) this is very exciting, haha!

(Though I've put in other people's texts now and feel like the algorithm is somehow biased toward Agatha Christie, at least for longer, modern-style prose maybe...?)

I've also put in two of my poems and got J.D Salinger for one of them and Neil Gaiman himself for the other! So that was really cool!

So yeah, I had so much fun with it that I just wanted to share it with all of you. Go ahead, put in your own writing or somebody else's and see what happens :)

So I tested three different kinds of fic that I’ve written, and all three came up as my favorite, Dame Agatha Christie. I am highly honored and humbled, and maybe a little teary-eyed, too.

My good friend @wilhellmine found this website and we both got Agatha Christie (even with our dirtiest slash fanfiction lmao!), but I’m curious with other’s, so I’m going to tag a few of my other close fellow writers here who are so good at their craft: @glitchinslimjim @somewhereontv @reddesertcolbs @cutiecolbsss @colbylover99 @socialanxiety-queen and anyone else I may have missed (I don’t know who write fic or not lol). First few chapters of my original work gave me Dan Brown, but a piece of my last fanfiction gave me Ernest Hemingway. To top it off, I did this some time ago for another fanfiction and got Stephen King. XD I’m all over the place!
