i find it really quirky how i could be listening to some good music and talking to a friend about it and then all of a sudden i am suddenly in a different state of reality, crying within two seconds, and the five notifications i have are suffocating me.

Next time you're screaming at a customer service rep I want you to know most of us are indeed foreigners and are paid well below the minimum wage, I get paid around $65 usd a week and work 10 hour shifts with unpaid lunch and aren't even allowed to go to the bathroom

I regularly get screamed at both from entitled people and people in a rough spot, I'll have people on disability that get like 10 times what I make tell me I don't understand poverty and that I don't wanna help them because I get paid for my work and get to go home and not worry about my bills

And the reality is that yeah I'm a very frugal person and fairly privileged so I manage to live an ok life most of the time, but I do know about poverty and the company that's screwing you over is screwing me over just as bad

I'm not on their side man, we're on the same fucking sinking boat and I'm fucking exhausted

I hear people complain that we steal American jobs and the truth of it is that we're not your enemy. We are exploited for scraps at compensations and conditions well under what's legal in the US so multinational companies can cut costs

Your enemy is capitalism, your enemies are unethical multinationals that find loopholes to offload their workforce on struggling countries where they can get away with workers exploitation, your enemies are the regulations that allow them to do that
