Surely one of my weird ass savant skills can contribute positively to my situation in some meaningful way

I've started making a bunch of little paper cranes for the fuck of it, mostly to have some meditative thing to be doing with my hands.

I've gotten to where I can literally do it with my eyes closed

Like that's a little sloppy compared to the others but I can't believe it turned out at all

#the paper is like 3in~7cm square so the finished wingspan is about the same #so i guess like my dexterity is more or less okay. is one thing to take away from this.

I know in my heart I'd be capable of some interesting sounds if I plugged a mic into a bunch of guitar pedals

Whoever at tubi front loaded the looney tunes selection with weird modern shorts made a strange choice

I expected to see similarly eclectic selections for each "episode's" shorts but after a while some of the weirder stuff from the 60s and 80s did start to show up.

Took longer to get to the Mel blanc era than expected

#though its nice to hear that 90s era of cartoon voice guys #Maurice lamarche shows up randomly #it took a while to get into it but ive finally gotten to where id say I'm enjoying it #need more cartoon bullshit in my life #bunching it into episodes combining a bunch of shorts is good for casual watching #but is probably going to make it murder to find a specific sort #short

Edworm likes scurrying around on rocks and biting things :)

He is a fleece worm with a tubular shape and i think could be a fantastic starter puppet. This guys head shape is very standard and with ears and arms he could be a whole different critter.

The learning curve for making a worm is practically flat too and in a couple hours you go from having a sheet of foam and some fleece and end up with an entire Guy with its own personality and expression

Hm. The audiobook reader pronounced "secreted" in the substance-oozing-from-an-insect way instead of the more appropriate given the context "secreted" stashing away of something onto one's person.

There is some solace to me that these autonomous humanoid robots seem to be incapable of understanding mirrors and are particularly susceptible to slippery floors

There's this cinnamon toast crunch that's got root beer flavor in it and that doesn't make any sense but I can't say I don't enjoy it

Shoutout to whichever audiobook narrator made the choice to make discworld Igor a boris karloff impression instead of peter lorre. It's a good choice.

I thought I was losing my fucking mind blearily hearing Kass' theme on the jazz station this morning. I thought I recognized a snippet of melody in the intro but when the dots connected I thought surely that couldn't be right. Then that unmistakable melody came in. Excellent Latin jazz arrangement.

And that's how I found out 8-bit big band were getting radio play. And that they won a Grammy.

#i even recognized 8-bit big band but in my half awake state i wasnt about to trust that #i think it's a different arrangement than the one i was familiar with #if I'd heard it before there would be no doubt #i guess im not that surprised theyve gotten recognition for being good at that #but I'm still kind of surprised #in my mind it was that one big band from YouTube
