I just wish that when the word "rabid" starts getting thrown around, it could be, like, a signal or a clue that it's time to pull out the acafanmom phrases and throw one of them out there, then refuse to engage on the issue. And it's not just BC - it's 9/10 of every genre actor who inevitably gets asked this question, and WHY?? I can understand discomfort with the idea of being sexualized in fan fiction - I really can - but if you don't know about something, why talk about it? He could easily have said, "I get uncomfortable thinking about it, but I don't know enough about it to really say much more" and that would have been honest and FINE. It's this armchair psychology shit, that, among other things, clearly reflects the fact that he doesn't even know who's writing it, that irritates me.
And, again, it's not just him. But he does keep answering that stupid question, and I just wish he - they all - wouldn't.
