Myul Mang continued to deny that he couldn’t love even until the end. And in his current roll, I don’t think he can, not fully anyway. He can pretend because of how long he’s been observing. I’m assuming that the plant is growing because he’s acting in ways that make him human: sleeping, eating, crying, and loving. It’s now bloomed because he’s ready. (Even more so because we saw the butterfly die.) I guess there still could be a choice if the deity will plant him in the garden or not. But like she definitely will, right?
