I read both of the posts about the mischaracterization of Hinata and Sakusa, and another one is Sugawara. Sugawara isn’t an uwu mom of the team. He is just as bad, if not worse than the other boys. As a hormonal, mean teenage boy, he isn’t taking care of the team. He’s the one who eggs them on and then makes fun of them for getting caught. He literally shows affection by hitting his teammates. The sugamama title he has makes me so irritated sometimes.

the fact the sugawara has been stereotyped to be the "feminine" one in his ship with daichi makes me CRINGE SO HARD. the fact that suga's character has pushed as a helicopter mother who wants you home by 6pm and to be the child every parent wishes they had . . . 🧍🏽♀️🔫

and i'm with you on being irritated. his character misconception has to be the one that actually makes me mad. suga isn't a doting mother with ten children and daichi isn't the breadwinner dad. suga is their literal devil in human form but they all love him for it and they wouldn't change anything.
yes. he loves his teammates. but that doesn't mean he suddenly is a stay at home mom who cooks all day and cleans the house waiting for daichi to be home with dinner ready on the table.
the fact that so many headcanons of suga are of him caring and doting on you like a mother would and taking care of hinata as his innocent two year old child who knows nothing about literally ANYTHING..
now don't get me wrong, i have no problem with a caring partner wanting me to be healthy, but that's not who suga is.
suga is the type of boyfriend who calls you "bighead" as a term of endearment and will clown you about everything you do. he's a best friend boyfriend. he's the one you can run from the police with then stop by a McDonald's drive thu with one of those small children's cars and get mad when the workers refuse to serve you because ... c'mon ... really ...?
suga is the type of boyfriend to literally tackle you to the floor and start a whole fucking WWE match for the fucking remote control because you changed his show. he would wrestle with you and be rough with you, but that's all because he loves you.
he's one touchy motherfucker and he's so fucking clingy, but he makes the best jokes and he's the one you can go out late at night with and have absolutely no plan but still have the time of your lives. he's literally your ride or die in the metephrocal and literal sense.
the fact that his character has been literally so fucking feminised makes me cringe so hard. suga and kenma's characters are the top two hyper feminised characters in haikyuu and i hate it.

that title is just a testament to the hyper feminisation of suag and it's deplorable. stop calling him the mom of the group. he's not the mom of the group. sure there was that cute moment where he was proud of hinata for picking up what he taught him but that's literally what ANY TEAM MATE WOULD HAVE DONE. ifyou spent your free time teaching someone something and they finally got it, of course you would be proud.
if anything this shady motherfucker is the crackhead cousin we all have that is seems so cool and actually is really fun to be around. he's not the teams mom. he's the devil on their shoulders. you've seen him literally imitate tsuki (about something i don't remember that scene clearly) and they all act like it's normal. because it is. that's who suga's character is.
