Feeling like drawing fem!marble hornets again. Sigh. Ugh. Women. I love women. Might as well be free..
I'm gonna put them in cute outfits or something - trust.
(also thank you for all the attention and notes on my latest drawing - I'm glad y'all like playing card symbolisms and meanings too. Though, I have no idea what Homestuck is.. so it's not a reference to anything haha. Still, a win for me.)
Sometimes I think about the fact that I'm 43, and I nearly died because I was born a month early. And now, my story is the least interesting story of a premature birth you might hear.
My story is literally that my mom happened to be 90 minutes from the hospital where she planned to have birth, and my spiteful ass went, "DONE!" and showed up anyway.
And lucky for my spiteful ass, I was at a hospital with a NICU. The hospital I was EXCPECTED to be born at did NOT have a NICU. Doing a quick search just now, that hospital STILL does not have a NICU.
BUT.
Training and medical understanding nowadays means even if you birth a preemie at the hospital I was expected to be born at, your baby can absolutely survive an emergency flight to a NICU OR OR OR OR your doctor can say "Hey, I know the first baby wasn't a huge asshole, but this baby has all the signs of a huge asshole, so the moment you feel contractions, go to the hospital with a NICU.
If I'd shown up a month early, 43 years ago, the best work by the best doctors at the hospital I would have been born at likely would not have worked. Not because they were bad at their jobs, but because that was medicine 43 years ago.
And now my story of "I was born a month early and came out blue because my lungs weren't developed" is fucking quaint because it's just not a big fucking deal. That issue can be dealt with without a NICU. And even if my issue were bigger than "my lungs weren't fully developed," the answer now is "We have a whole rig set up to keep baby you alive while we get you to a NICU."
Humans want to live. And humans want other humans to live. And I am beyond excited my story is so fucking boring. I'm so glad other stories are so fucking boring. I'm so glad that we are getting better and better at saving tiny lives. I'm so glad I can say, "I was born a month early, but that doesn't really mean shit nowadays" to explain why I'm so excited to talk about preemie care.
But, let it never be forgotten: I showed up a month early with no idea if it was gonna work, and I've run on the same spite since. I will fuck you up.
But now that I have your attention: I wanted to make a pinned post about what I'm doing in fandom. Feel free to ignore or whatever.
I've been editing and doing minor rewrites for The Spoils of War and for some reason I want to share this information here.
The Spoils of War. -- Editing in Progress
Re-editing (SPAG, punctuation, changing 'Aro' to 'Rasa'), mild rewrites (sentences, paragraphs), and minor retcons (character thoughts, motivations, etc. -- nothing that changes the story, just makes it flow better, imo. And giving the chapters more personality -- especially the earlier ones that really need it).
Also, I'm doing up moodboards and editing some silent film title cards for the beginning of each of the ARCs (remember there are 3 Arcs in this story). It's been a lot of fun and hopefully all these edits and creations will culminate in the energy I need to get the next new chapter out.
Wish me luck. :)

First:
FF NET is being a bitch so I won't be updating there anymore for the foreseeable future. AO3 will be my only baby.
Second:
My current priorities are The Spoils of War and an unposted 30k+ one-shot that I'm beginning to think I might need a beta for, for some overarching help. (More details on that with my post on the GaaSaku Community.)
Third:
A Beautiful Lie is not abandoned. I'm just not writing it right now. (Tumblr link for latest chapter.) It will be next after my current obsession with these minor rewrites of The Spoils of War.
All other posted wips are on the backburner.

SasuHina month is coming in August, 2026, so I'll be posting for that. Beyond August, I do have several one-shots and a multi-chapter I'm working on -- ALL will be complete when posted.
KakaSaku is on my planner but not a priority.
Zutara: I will be participating in the Zutara Gift Exchange when it happens again this year and may be able to finish something for the Zutara Week. We'll see.

Thank-you so much to everyone who has ever consumed the things I've created in all my fandoms over the years. You guys are the reason I never chucked it all in and left for good. Life is only getting harder right now -- for us all -- and it's a source of comfort to be able to come back to fandom each time and enjoy both creating and reading.
Playing Tomodachi life, showed me the lack of female character I like.
Beside myself, I only have Lara Croft (who was made so a dude on my island can date her, he married my boyfriend instead) and Lady D from Resident Evil.
I' planning on making Medic and Misha, Batou and Jackie. I could also make fem and male V.
In my last class period, there was only 3 students in there (me and 2 other guys) and we were chatting and it was really funny because all 3 of us are in COMPLETELY different friend groups and orbits.
We've got:
-Me, quiet girl who usually reads or is on phone, only talks when I'm with my friends, generally unpopular
-Really nice, funny popular guy who's super friendly and outgoing and charismatic
-Class clown who likes disrupting class and breaking rules, is also relatively popular because he's funny
And we were all trying to find something we have in common and the popular guy looks at the 2 of us and goes "We all.. um..." and then he looks straight at me then back at the other guy and says "I literally know nothing about her" and I'm just like: 🧍♀️
