i've been following bts' journey for the past 8 years and right now i can't help but feel a little sad. but, at the same time, i can only imagine how much they sacrificed their time and individuality in name of the group and to entertain us, too - and i can only imagine how much it must hurt.
us, older fans that watched their career over the years, know very well how hectic their schedules have been since the beginning. my biggest complaint about bighit was always that they gave them too little time to rest, how they monetized literally every second of bts' lives. hybe is what it is now because of their blood, sweat and tears, literally. so to me, this announcement also brings me some relief, because now i know that they will be able to live as they want, release the content they want, be individuals.
they are in a point of their career that they will be successful no matter what they try. i can't wait to see what they have in store as artists. it's a bit shocking right now, but i believe we have a lot to look forward to - in a much healthier way. and when they come back as a group, it will be even more special.
bts is not just a group. they are family. so when they say they will come back, i believe them. and i'll always be here, willing to accept anything they have to offer for us.
