Flash Flooding Update
Ok, so good news is that the power is still miraculously on, and somehow most of my appliances are still functional. Bad news is that there was still a lot of water damage, and anything 30cm from the ground or lower, is now thoroughly fucked.
Because water from flash floods is never clean and always contains a large amount of mud and debris, there is quite a mess left behind, even though the water has retreated back to “Normal” levels (Meaning that it still covers the tops of my shoes if I step out into the backyard). Even with the water having had to force its way past closed doors, there’s still a lot of filth that’s coating everything close to the ground, and on the ground itself. And whilst I had the foresight to raise most of my belongings off of the ground, it wasn’t enough to save everything from being affected.
As you can imagine, I really need to focus on cleaning up what I can for now. I’m not sure how long it will take, I’m honestly hoping that I can get back to writing tomorrow, even if only for the sense of normalcy, but realistically that’s probably not going to happen.
Thank you for your patience with me again Darlings, I’m sorry for failing to live up to my promises and your expectations again, but I really am doing my best given the circumstances.
