Since then, Osha and Dew have had many adventures. Dew tied up loose ends with others of the past who then helped them stowaway on a ship bound for Alola. There, Dew was reunited with his Someone Special. Osha and Dew managed to find a place in the wild to settle down.

And the two of them had many more adventures together from then on. With Dew becoming a dad and so much more, their lives may take them many places. But they remain close as ever no matter where their lives may take them.

Okay, so this moment between Gus the Theatre Cat and Old Deuteronomy in the Broadway revival... Christopher Gurr gave an explanation for it on the podcast The Ensemblist, and it’s breaking my damn heart...

According to Gurr, Gus didn’t want to be a candidate for the Jellicle Choice--he practically begged for them not to consider him and that he was done and just wanted to go gently into that good night.  But Old Deuteronomy talked him into it.  He’s not going to be the Choice tonight, they’re both in agreement about that, but Gus is still meant to have his brief moment of appreciation from the Tribe.  That moment is Deuteronomy looking Gus in the eye and saying, “You can do this.  You deserve this.  I believe in you.”

Gurr also thinks that at the end of the night after the Ball, Gus just slipped away from everyone else to die on his own.  Which makes me very glad they decided to give him “The Pekes and the Pollicles” as his final encore, but also makes me want to fight and then hug his actor.
