Rowan swore under his breath as his foot slid under him and he grabbed onto the chimney for support. Looking over to see what had tripped him, he spotted the loose shingles that had slid off Gail’s roof and onto the front lawn - probably what had caught him underfoot. With a sigh, he turned to start clambering back to the window to go downstairs and fetch them, when he noticed someone on the sidewalk below, and figured that would make it easier. “Hey!” he called. “Mind tossing those shingles up here real quick?”
