“dear god,” she mumbled to herself, listening to the music that was leaking through the thin walls yet again. this seemed to be almost nightly at this point. she let out a small sigh, her eyes staring down at her computer in front of her. the blinking of the cursor was almost mocking her lack of creativity at this point. she had been trying to write a story for what seemed to be days now. the idea was there, but the words failed to come from her fingers. however, she chose to blame it on the constant sound of the music next door. nova was a quiet person, unable to work well with noise. growing up with a brother almost as quiet as her, she was used to static noise, and the change wasn’t something she particularly enjoyed. she let out a heavy sigh, sitting back in her chair again before pulling herself up, making her way to the boy next door to make an effort to turn it down. “hey --- wyatt!” she called from outside, knocking on his door, hoping that he could hear her over his music.
