Then took some courses in roadside hazard magic.#This sparked an interest in safety magic and resulted in an eventual change of major - but the outfit stayed true to their roots.#All that said and done; The original costume is really good and I hope OP keeps up the good wizarding work.#Remember that distracted driving is extremely dangerous. Do not drive tired or in altered states of awareness.#It is always morally correct to call a friend of ride service if you have even the smallest doubt you will be a safe driver.#And *please* wear proper PPE on your job site. this pride month, keep the disabled queer people in mind who can't celebrate pride the 'regular way' aka by going to parades and lots of events. keep the homebound, bedbound, and other disabled queers who can't go in mind. those people who see everyone else party and are unable to attend. text them, wish them a happy pride, visit them and celebrate in a way that works for them. it's already hard not to be able to go to all of these events, it's even harder to be left behind because of it.

If you're a POC who has felt kinda terrible in fandom spaces recently just know you're not alone & you deserve to be here & you deserve respect and comfort and love & nobody has the right to make you feel like you don't

#idk i've been pondering recently that it's absolutely not the responsibility of poc to educate non-poc peers abt racism #like it just sucks that so often we are burdened with the task of education and it leads to poc being burnt out at alarming rates #but also if we don't say anything it will just continue because we can't really trust White ppl to recognise it for themselves #so you either burn out from speaking up all the time or burn out from a silence that eats you alive from the inside out #and that is just unacceptable. i have to believe these are not the only fates for poc in fandom (or life in general)#idk idk. i don't have anything insightful or new to say abt it tbh #i'm not sad necessarily just i guess a little tired. but it's ok there are still great ppl in this fandom of course #so ty to the ppl who do strive to make fandom inclusive and anti-racist and who speak out and who try to better themselves #& the environment around them. your effort does not go unnoticed at all and i love you ❤️❤️❤️

Can we get a moment of silence for everyone who's ever created a piece of art that said "what if it DOESN'T end happily? What if good intentions aren't enough? What if everyone is sometimes flawed and thoughtless and petty and we all do harm without meaning to?"

Only for someone to be like "omg yessssss this is so powerful! And then, what if it DID end happily and the good intentions were enough and everything gets wrapped up in a twee little bow because I have the emotional complexity of a six-year-old?" and then they get a thousand reblogs of people going "yayyyy it's fixed!"

#this really is peak hater-ism. i'm over here like 'how dare you try and write a happy ending to something'#but sometimes it's like god! sit with discomfort for five minutes in your life!#admittedly i've only got two examples off the top of my head #the art of the lonely dog looking through the fence at the happy dogs #and the fairy tired of making unloved children flashfic #would love to hear other examples if you've got them though
