also.... consider: hpa au with gonta missing his family a lot after having to move away from their forest to attend the academy, and he's only allowed to keep bugs as pets?? (bc of talent research) so! gundam (who's allowed all kinds of pets) gets a wolflike dog, like a samoyed or a tamaskan, so gonta can come over and snuggle it when he misses home
