I like the concept of the shatterverse merging with the larger multiverse upon sonic reaching green hill and that attracting attention. AKA archiverse zonic.
Giving the guy even more headaches
Poor Zonic, he's a Sonic but Sonics all across the multiverse keep making his life harder.
The Ozpin forgiveness arc really needs to finish before they reach Ironwood or else Oscar will have to pretend to be Ozpin which could have unpredictable results and Mind hurty for Oscar.
…Notnecessarily. I don’t think Oscar needs to pretend to be Ozpin to talk toIronwood, although it would be amusing to hear Oscar do his best Ozpinimpression. In the event that the Ozpin Forgiveness Arc isa failure and the group are forced to see Ironwood without Ozpin’s help, Idon’t think they’ll need to lie to him. I’m sure if the truth is told to theGeneral, he’ll understand---though not sure how rationallysince the last time we saw Ironwood, he didn’t look to be in the bestmental shape.
It was mentioned byWatts that Ozpin is the only one who can get through to Ironwood. If the OzpinForgiveness Arc does get stretched into the Atlas Arc then a way I can see thegroup getting to Atlas is by another means and gaining refuge in the city throughanother affiliate. It is for this reason why I’m hoping Winter Schnee returnsthis volume and becomes the group’s ticket into Atlas and seeing Ironwood.
Whatwould actually be interesting is if Winter is able toget the guys to Atlas and give them housing within the city. But when it comesto seeing the General, that’s when things become tricky. Imagine if…James’s mental state isso erratic at the moment that it is later revealed that he and Winter, hisproclaimed bestoperative got into an altercationwhen Winter decided to remain in Argus against Ironwood’s official orders. So theGeneral cut off even Winter.
Anotherreason why I want Winter to show is so that Weiss can finally have the family reunion with her big sister that she was supposed to have inV5.Weiss was hoping to meet up with Winter once she got to Mistral but never gotthe chance. I’m honestly banking on that tie in from last volume for Weiss tosee her sister again after so long.
Soyeah, this is part of the reason why I want the Ozpin Forgiveness Arc to beprolonged. I sincerely don’t think the group will honestly need Ozpin to seeIronwood because there are other means like Winter. Besides, the main reason whyI want Ozpin to not return is so that Oscar can finally have some focus andgrowth on his own and secondly, I really want the Oscar’s Choice plot point forthe Atlas Arc with Ironwood proposing to separate Oscar and Ozpin using theAtlesian Aura experiments. But that’s just me.
prompt for toz tob au while escaping the island innominat tries to turn mikleo into a dragon but sorey ain't having any of that and armatizes with mikleo in a bid to help him.
MAJOR SPOILERS FOR TALES OF BERSERIA.
The dragon roared as it crashed to the ground, Sorey wincing as one of its legs twitched violently in its death throws. He didn’t need Mikleo’s arm thrown protectively across his chest to back up. It had been had enough to fight without getting hit by the dragon’s tail or talons, he didn’t need to be taken down at the end of the fight.
Sorey swallowed as the dragon tried to get up, bracing himself for the dragon to start trying to recover by devouring the malevolence that hovered over the island. It had worked once, and Sorey had been surprised by it only because he thought that the dragon had been healing. But maybe he had been wrong. Maybe the dragon had just gathered strength, which had been enough to keep them busy for a while longer, but not enough to save itself.
Or maybe it hadn’t wanted to save itself at all. Maybe its rage had been so great that it had wanted to kill them at any cost.
His stomach twisted, Sorey reaching down to clutch at Mikleo’s wrist. He felt Mikleo start at the motion, but the malak didn’t try to pull away like he had been doing. But that itself was a discussion for later, when they were away from the dragon and Innominat.
Sorey swallowed at the thought of the creature, intending to turn his head and see how Zaveid had been getting along with chasing Innominat away but his attention was distracted by Alisha.
His eyes widened as he watched her peel away from the rest of their group. Sorey jerked forward, Mikleo’s arm keeping him from getting too far. Sorey glanced over at Mikleo, wanting to demand to be let go. It didn’t matter that Alisha had been waiting for them when they had come out of the earthpulse, she had been quick to switch sides once things had been explained. Certainly that wasn’t enough to just let her go to her death, they had trusted him on less.
Alisha walked up to the dragon’s head, looking at the creature for a moment before kneeling down by its head. The dragon snarled and went to snap at her, but Alisha didn’t move away. She just reached out to touch its snout, letting it sit there before scooting forward and gathering the dragon’s head in her lap.
The dragon hissed, but didn’t move beyond that. Alisha shushed it, leaning close and whispering to it as the dragon’s movements came to a stop. Alisha leaned over to press her forehead against the dragon’s scales.
She jerked back when the dragon’s scales and flesh suddenly melted away. Sorey started as well, looking at the pile of bones on the ground.
He hadn’t expected that, and it made it all worse. He had hoped that they would get a body back or at least someone to remember the malak by. A pile of dragon bones seemed like an insult to the malak’s memory, but it would be worse to just leave them.
Sorey sighed as Mikleo dropped his arm, quick to walk over to where Alisha was. He dropped to one knee beside her, resting a hand on her shoulder. He felt her twitch, but she didn’t move away. Sorey swallowed and squeezed her shoulder. “I’m sorry about him.”
“Me too.” Alisha took a deep breath, Sorey hearing the catch in it. “It wasn’t fair. I thought that I was doing what was best, but I was wrong. I thought that I was doing right by doing this for him, but this got him killed. He didn’t even have a name!”
Sorey watched her hands shake before she stilled them. He felt her shoulder tense under his hand before she slumped. He squeezed her shoulder before letting go. “We’ll make sure that he’s sent off correctly, but we have to finish something here first.”
He barely caught her nod before she stood up and walked away from him. Sorey watched her pace around the far side of the dragon, seeking out where Lailah and Selene stood. Sorey watched her play with her spear for a moment before turning on her heel.
The look on her face was enough to get him to turn around, Sorey’s eyes widening when he saw Innominat dragging an unconscious Zaveid back to them.
Innominat grinned and tossed Zaveid towards them. The grin wavered a moment when he saw the dead dragon, but it was quick to stabilize. Innominat lazily waved a hand, malevolence dancing around his fingers. “So you’ve defeated one dragon. I’m impressed. Then again, I expected as much. You’ve been a thorn in our side since the start. And I think I should return the favor.”
Sorey stumbled to his feet as a ball of malevolence formed in Innominat’s hand. His stomach dropped when Innominat’s gaze jumped over to Mikleo, The spine-tingling smile was back, Innominat drawing his hand back as the malevolence reached its peak, and then threw it forward.
The malevolence crackled in the air, Sorey feeling it in the back of his throat as he breathed. It made him want to cough, but he couldn’t waste a breath, not when he would need it.
They wouldn’t survive another dragon.
And he couldn’t lose Mikleo again.
“LUZROV RULAY!”
It was a desperate move, but the only one that he could think of. It would get Mikleo out of the line of fire and protected.
The malak jerked before dissolving into blue light and speeding backwards. His return felt like a punch in the gut, Sorey gasping for breath. He could feel the twist that heralded the start of the armatus, but it wasn’t soon enough. He looked up in time to see the ball of malevolence slam into them, the force enough to send them backwards.
Sorey grunted as he landed on his back, the breath knocked out of him one moment. The next moment he was arching off the ground in pain as the malevolence coursed through him.
He could hear Mikleo screaming inside him, and Sorey was sure that he was screaming too. His throat was raw like he was, although he wasn’t sure which voice was coming out, but he didn’t have the time to think about it because he felt like his bones were being ripped out.
He blindly clawed at the ground, not sure what he was trying to do other than get away from the rising heat inside his body.
Sorey writhed, feeling Mikleo knocking around violently within him before the malak went still.
He croaked out something that might have been a word before the heat reached a peak and broke.
Sorey went limp on the ground, gasping for breath as it felt like he was boiled and drowned at the same time.
Just as suddenly as it appeared, it was gone.
Sorey rolled to his side, coughing and expecting to cough up water, but nothing came out. He stared at the ground before starting to push himself up, not bothering to look up when someone grabbed his arm and helped him up. He swayed on his feet, glancing over at where Edna was practically tucked against his side.
She nodded at him, Sorey sure that he felt her pet his arm before she stepped away in and front of him. Edna leveled her umbrella at Innominat, but she didn’t move further than that. “Are you going to turn into a dragon?”
Sorey shook his head, patting at his chest before focusing inward on Mikleo. The malak was slow to respond and the answer was a jumble of feelings rather than words. But Mikleo was fine, which was what mattered.
He curled his fingers into his shirt, breathing out slowly. He looked up at the back of Edna’s head, speaking quietly because of his raw throat. “We’re fine.”
“Good.” Sorey was sure that he heard a quaver in her voice, but Edna was quick to push it back. “Because I’ve had enough of them for the rest of my life. Now hurry up with the light show so we can kick Walking Dead’s ass.”
Sorey smiled, reaching inward to gently prod at Mikleo. The malak shifted, sluggish but ready. Sorey stroked his fingers over his chest where he could feel the cooling pulse of Mikleo’s presence. “Cover us for a moment?”
Edna glanced over her shoulder, giving him a smile. “I could, just as long as you don’t slack off.”
“No slacking off, I promise.”
“Good, because I’ve been wanting to blast this corpse sky high.” Edna flicked the tip of her umbrella up, the earth rumbling under them. “He annoys me.”
Sorey smiled and took a step back, watching as everyone came around to stand with Edna. He nodded at Alisha as she slotted into the place that she usually held. None of the rest of the group seemed to notice or, if they did, they allowed it of her. Sorey couldn’t imagine anyone denying her the chance to avenge the malak that they’d been forced to kill and all the lies that she had been told.
He closed his eyes, focusing inward as he felt Mikleo starting to readjust. “You alright?”
Mikleo responded with a wordless set of emotions, Sorey having to pick out what Mikleo meant. The malak felt fine, but he was still reeling from whatever happened. That was something that they had to talk about later as well.
Sorey sighed and mentally offered Mikleo his hand. “Can you armatize?”
There was a rush of determination as Mikleo took him up on the offer. Sorey smiled, feeling Mikleo start to extend out to bring the two of them together. Sorey felt the usual pulse of Mikleo’s power, tempted to explore a bit because there was something new in the usual current, but that seemed like an invasion of privacy. He would wait for an invitation, now it was more important to focus on the threat that had been stalking them for past few hours. Sorey wasn’t quite sure if it was him or Mikleo that wanted to punch Innominat in the face, but it hardly mattered between the two of them. As long as Innominat was taken care of it didn’t matter.
He took a deep breath and let himself fall, splashing down into the riotous current that was Mikleo surging through his body. It was strong, powerful and dragged him under, but he wasn’t frightened. He could never be frightened of Mikleo and the armatus, especially when it felt like coming home.
Just a quick note, the dragon that they killed was totally Mason because it seemed like a good idea.
yeah, I'm pretty sure Donato just smashed through roughly where Urie's framed kakuhou is. So he's likely a half ghoul at this point. A very hungry one at that cause kakuhou's take alot to regrow. Also I think Donato might actually just leave before Urie gets up since having Urie squirm as a half ghoul is better revenge than killing him in Donato's eye's.
I don’t think Donato is aiming to make Urie a ghoul and watch how things would play. There is no way for him to know about Urie’s recent RC count. Additionally, it is possible that Mutsuki is already a half-ghoul yet he can still control himself to a certain extent. Following this logic, even if Urie loses his patience and releases his frames, he won’t just go around, butchering investigators. So, this doesn’t really sound like something Donato would benefit of.
It is possible that Donato does not want to finish Urie off immediately, but use him to get to something/somewhere/someone.
