what if reddies get rights and eddie dies w the book canon line and someone, probably bev, says "you know he loved you, right?" referring to the confusion of his cut off last sentence. except richie didn't know, not really, until right then, the memories hadn't completely come back and while he knew he loved eddie, he hardly remembered eddie loving him back. but he can't disappoint eddie's memory, ruin his last words, so instead he says, and means it, "i knew well enough"

remember when george lucas wrote a script in 1976 and then proceeded to film it in december of the same year and realized it contained some of the GAYEST shit he’d ever seen so he proceeded to make sure the footage was cut from the final scene but then in 2011 lucasfilm released a special edition of all the star wars movies including a cd with deleted footage and then some godsend remastered it, uploaded it to youtube, sending me into a spiral that’s lasted well over TWO YEARS that’ll hopefully conclude with me writing The Best star wars rewrite ever published
